Weathertechs will be ordered by tomorrow. Just a read a couple threads, and they look to be the way to go... Not cheap. About 100 bucks for just the fronts.
Not sure I get the key fob hack, but more reading to do... So, I guess most of you all don't use fobs, but the actual key to lock and unlock doors...

I bought a key fob off amazon for twenty bucks..... works just fine until I get my viper alarm

Ah, just the case, no internal components. The one I have now, the case is in poor condition (ring hole broken, taped together), but it works.

I'm scheduled to do it next Saturday when my daughter is with her grandma for the weekend. Wonder how much fun that job is gonna be without a vise.
I still have to get a diff carrier gasket and I'm pretty sure my driver's side rear brake cylinder is leaking, so one of those too
Today is just on oil change, going full synthetic with a WIX XP filter and a magnetic drain plug :hatsoff:

Google it. It's a great way to clean deposits from inside the engine, intake and cylinders when used properly and semi-regularly. Adding Marvel Mystery Oil to your crankcase (and gas) can accomplish the same, and MMO is much cheaper, but Seafoam works.
Yup. I waited for the price to dip sub $100 on amazon and snagged mine, but they are literally the last floor mats you will ever buy; for that vehicle at least. I've been thinking about the rear cargo mat too...
Well, around here they use that hack with inexpensive arduino-based devices to gain entry to cars, and sometimes steal them. 4runners are targets, mainly for catalytic converters around here (don't need to unlock for that) but thieves today often toss cars for personal information, as well as the contents. Identity theft is the new standard crime and we all leave sensitive information in our cars in the form of registration docs, insurance, docs, etc.
My truck got tossed inside our locked garage, nothing but old apartment keys taken. This is why I've decided not to go keyless. YMMV

No photobucket so no pics! Imagine plain black steel wheels with General Arctic altimax tires. I like the way it looks with the plain black steelies.
I also did an oil change and lube and replaced the oil cap gasket.

Weird. I haven't put a whole lot of research into it but I think there is an aftermarket hood manufacturer that makes the sport hood. I don't think those come loaded with the air vent hardware. Then you would need some paint. The way I look at it, if it was somewhat local and a reasonable price and, better yet, if it was already the color I have I would be down to snatch it up. But purchasing new and having to paint and find the extra parts starts to get close in price to a mod that adds performance and not just sexy looks.

I know right?!? They're pretty much the same, but at least with an air locker, you wouldn't have to worry about painting it, so, it tips it just a little in favor of settling on a locker over the sport hood. We need a sport roof. Then we'd be talking. :spy:

We all know the order.
First you get a lift.
Then you get bigger tires.
Then you get a bigger lift to fit the bigger tires.
Then you realize you have no crawl ratio or power cause of those damn tires.
Then you re-gear and throw in lockers.
Then you realize you still want more power.
Then you get a supercharger.
When all that's done then, and only then, do you get a sport hood.
He's got his priorities correct. lol

Got the Washer Bottle relocation kit in and installed this weekend. Overall, it's easy. I forgot how damn hard the snorkel boot is though!!!! Just one more step to fit 35s.

While in there, cleaned up the MAF.... long over due. Test drive and Torque Pro shown me much better numbers on MAF, Fuel Trim, O2, and possible MPG. I'm still learning this area and the numbers so I admit, I'm a novice.
Finished up painting my marker lenses and putting in LED bulbs. They play well with my grille lights.
Chalked my tires and found 28.5lbs seems to be a good pressure for these 315/75-16 Mud Hogs.

Light day, swapped in new Brembo front rotors to replace the Callahan rotors that warped about 500 miles after installing them. You suck, Callahan!! :flipoff:
