Picked up my Baja rack from the shipping depot. The 5x7 box was too big to take home so I had to unbox it in a dark parking lot. I'm hoping there isn't any damage but stoked to get it installed tomorrow

The Ridge Grapplers make almost no noise at all. I have 295/70/r17 E's at 38psi. Literally no noticeable noise around town or at highway speeds.

It was all rain in Mammoth today so after work I had to drive all the way to Main Lodge to finally get them on some snow covered roads. About 2 inches of wet slush. They are great in it. I 2wd it the whole way and got on the throttle hard around corners to try and break them loose. I managed to do it but well past what I expected. Coming back down I got on the brakes hard and they grabbed way faster then they should have for the conditions.
Hands down the best tire I have ever run.

Sounds like you had the perfect weather for playing with new tires, was weatherman close enough, ha.

LED light bar has been installed. Overall time was about 5 hours and that included a call from work and helping my sammich maker with another project when needed. Overall I am pretty happy with the results. Next up is rock lights. My Big Bend Ranch State Park trip is coming up soon so I need to get a few things wrapped up before then. Camburg UCAs are getting installed next Friday.

Pulled my current rear bumper last night and installed Sonoran Steel's rear body mounts. Ready for the new bumper Monday.

Today I sprayed more Eastwood Internal Frame Coating inside various places: in the rocker panels, rear frame cross member, axle upper control arm mounts. This rust fighting is losing its fun.

Also I bought a 35 mm front wheel nut socket for when I need to remove the hub, which I'm sure will be at some point in the near future.

Damn Bolt

Today I fought with a broken valve cover bolt. I can't seem to get the left handed bits and extractor to work.

This is cheating because this wasn't just today, but over the past week, but I replaced my disgusting center armrest with a less disgusting one, replaced my front speakers, replaced my broken air mix servo, and made a couple prototype phone mounts that cover up my broken clock. This was a great week for improving my 4runner!

Alignment

Took it in for an alignment at Fastlane here in Smyrna. Not as bad as I thought but feels much better at the wheel afterwards.

Changed the rear brake shoes. Lost the tiny C-clip, improvised a replacement and called it a day.

over the last week , new tires, Pulled rear drums off, drivers side nasty and greasy cleaned it out good but put rear seal on the list. other side good. rear differential was full. New iridium plugs. The old plugs were so worn the center post had worn to an oval between the two electrodes. Cleaned engine, years of build up sludge. Lot nicer to work on now. Taught daughter how to check fluid levels, and change spark plugs.

Saw a set of Tacoma wheels on 2000 silver cloud and it looked tits. Makes me consider a swapgrade next time I need tires.

Spent a pleasant afternoon with my son installing some new springs, shocks and sway bar end links to correct the dreaded saggy rear end syndrome. It felt weird to sit level again.

Did new NGK plugs and wires, pads, rotors, SS brake lines and flushed in some new fluid.
Feels great to get that stuff out of the way.
The old fluid was the nastiest I've ever seen, hopefully that is the cause of my dead pedal in the mornings. Will know tomorrow.
Did get a look at the sway bar bushings too while I was down there. That's on the list now to.

Put in the Depo clear turn signals. This week I'll be doing a "DRL Mod" with my VLED corner lights once they show up. Looks much more modern with the clears now.

Finished polishing and waxing it, shampooed the front carpets, removed my door panels and scrubbed them because the previous owners were disgusting filthy people, and continued working on removing the tape residue from the old rain guards and sunroof wind deflector. WD40 worked wonders for the last bit.

Had Tint removed and NYS inspection performed.... Rusted screws holding in the rear plate light covers had to be drilled out(ONE bulb was out)


Tint to be REinstalled Wed.
