The wiring harness is a thing.... Included in the harness are relays also. I can only guess that you were just given the lights.. and nothing else..
Like Octane said... Solder and heat shrink. you dont want weather getting into those connections. They're great lights!

Doesn't really count for "doing" anything, but after reading about the fog lights, I decided to go ahead and swap some Hella fogs from my minivan into the 4Runner.
As far as actually doing something, I finally cleaned up the rust around the rear wind deflector mounting hole, and put in a new rivnut (upper left). It's not pretty, but clean and sound. I also used black RTV around the mounting bracket before putting it back on to keep any moisture out, of course I didn't take any pictures yet of the completed install.

Yup. Home Depot sells good quality waterproof but connectors. With good pliers. It be will just as good as a solder. If you don't want to solder the wires. It's what I do. I use little bit electrical grease. Weatherproof but connector and a shrink wrap.
Another cool thing to look into if you plan on running a lot of lights or anything for future.

Eliminates the whole ugly harness that comes with the led lights. Everything; the relays, fuses are in one location with water tight cover. You just simply need to run your wires to where ever you think you'll tap into. I have a 10 relay/switch box. Identical to the above one. Just 10. I installed it under my rear seat where the jack goes. I ran 5 wires to the back. And 5 wires to the front. And the switch wires to the center console. Whenever I installed any accessories that need relays and switch. I just tap into it and good to go.

Its been a while since I've been on here...but FINALLY!!! got around to giving my 4R a proper tune up since I've purchased it back in March. Not completely done but man o man this thing was neglected. Trans oil will have to be flushed and refilled multiple times, it was filthy. Just need to drain and refill the differential, bleed the brakes (might just upgrade to TBU). Purrs like a kitten now and feels like it got some of its power back.

Got my 1999 FSM Volumes 1 and 2 today.
Had to physically go to the post office to get it because they couldn't seem to figure out how to deliver that package, tracking since Nov 30th only said: Out for Delivery/Status Not Updated.

So I was a little bummed out how my truck looked with the 265/70/17 Toyo MT's so I took it back and told them to put the 285's on. The guy argued with me that it would rub and I assured him it wouldn't and I was 100% right. Zero rubbing with a 2 inch lift.... It's close but I win. I also added the vent visors
