Tried to start it... dead battery. Boosted off another vehicle and cranked/charged for a little bit. Still no start. Turns over fine. Now it's sitting with a very unhealthy amount of oil dripping off the Y pipe and skidplate. I fixed the block heater cord and plugged it in to see if that helps. Haven't had issue starting it before in cold weather, seen as low as -44c (on the mercury, no windchill) Cold snaps suck. Waiting for it warm up to try again, and then will tow it to a garage with heat to see where the hell I'm pouring oil out of.

Met up with [MENTION=145405]_Frank[/MENTION] and went up to Hungry Valley SVRA with our kids for a few hours today. Great weather and good times.
My Aussie locked 2WD did okay. I didn't get stuck but I had to pass on a few spots that I just couldn't get traction on; might have been tire-related.

No kidding, I did a 20 min trip this morning and the coolant temp never was able to climb above 170.

I still wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. Ice fishing is fantastic so far and I’ve done quite a bit of snowmobiling too. I’ll be on a beach on Sanibel at the end of February though.
Mine was about the same. It was just a hard start this morning. I see that we’re gonna at least be above zero on Monday.

Hungry Valley is a lot of fun! I just recently went there for the first time and had a blast. There is more there to do then the map would make it seem. As for what I did today, I went to a different SVRA, Carnegie. Only about a hundredth of the size of Hungry Valley, but still fun.

I’ll always take someone ice fishing especially if they’ve never done it. It’s an entirely different experience. And if you have a nice fish house it can also be 70 degrees and you can wear a T-shirt.

I grew up in Northern Jersey and have done my fair share of ice fishing. Believe it or not , perch and sunnies are my two favorite freshwater fish to eat. There's nothing like a good day on the ice and just seeing 60 of them skattered across your holes. Don't have to worry about them going bad and when slightly frozen those little guys are actually way easier to fillet. lol

they were driving out on grays bay on lake Minnetonka this morning... so I guess as long as you can drive out to your fish house?
-17 on the outside button today.
a lot of people have nice ice houses, generator, furnace, direct TV, big screen tv. a home away from home where you can maybe catch lunch and dinner? clean them up right there and have the freshest fish you have ever eaten.

I love to fish, tried ice fishing, hate the cold. I turned down a job in Minnesota years ago after the guy in HR I was interviewing with said sometimes one is homebound for days due to snow. I stopped the interview, said thanks for his time, and left. If I never wore long pants ever again I would be one happy man.

Hit the local Pick Your Part for the famous 40% off New Year's Sale (what a zoo). Good haul for $45 - two heated rearview mirrors, a trailer hitch harness and mount, a tranny cooler from a big ass ford truck, and a set of Fiamm horns from another big ass truck.
Any thoughts on installing a used tranny cooler? Seems like it's pretty straightforward, just flush it with some solvent and call it good?
I'll also take and post some sound clips of the original horns, the Hella Sharptones I bought and am considering to install, and these Fiamm units.

Nice find! I’d flush the new cooler with just clean ATF.
Okay - I can see now that the display isn't showing frequencies.No that's just my ScanGauge that I mounted counter-sunk into the column, so the wire to the obd port is hidden and clean looking. Hate having wires and cords all over...
