Wow wish I would've known about this about a year ago when I bought my current battery. I plan on getting a Smittybuilt XRC-9.5K winch soon

Some months back I installed a Sony head unit with some nifty functions like bluetooth and stuff. My main beef with it is that it always tried to autoplay music as soon as I plugged in the USB cable. It would always start with the first track in alphabetical order -- very annoying!
After some research I found there's no way to turn this off. BUT... I found an idea to made an MP3 that is just a few minutes of silence and title it "AAAAA" so that it always plays first. Sure enough, it works, and problem solved! Now my head unit will just play a silent track until I give it something else to play (like Spotify, etc.)
A minor tweak that is a major win for day-to-day convenience.

Reserve Capacity is way more important for winching then CCA's. I'm sure its got a good RC as well though.

Got the repaired CCU installed and the center dash put back together. I didn't realize that I needed to order new back lights for the rear window button and the ECT button. Oh well, I'll get them and when I install a touch screen I'll change the bulbs.
What does that little clear plastic piece in front of the P do?Replaced my shifter assembly, fixed the "I can't get my key out of the ignition" problem, and found out what this little clear plastic piece in front of the P on the shifter assembly does.

Allows you to shift the gear selector into/out of positions that would regularly require the key to be in the on position to supply power to the shifter control unit.
Ever notice how you can't shift into reverse from park until the brake is depressed? Pressing that plastic tab in would eliminate the need to do that.

Washed it post trip.
Quick question ... Does this look right?
Looking at my UCA ball joint I see that with the tires straight the Ball does not sit the same on each side. See pictures. The driver's side it sits in the middle, the passenger side it sits offset as if the wheel is compressed but it isn't. I got an alignment a month ago, perhaps they set something wrong?

it's a shift lock override button. enables you to move shift lever with key out.

Well this morning I noticed my right rear tire appears to be half out of air. So perhaps that is it. I will find out for sure on Friday when I gate a chance to mess with it.
