Started cutting into the New Carpet

project was tedious but it came out pretty nice, photos of complete interior coming hopefully by next weekend

On the 9th I got some foaming carpet cleaner/odor eliminator cleaner in an attempt to get rid of the cigarette stench from the 'runner. I know the only way to truly get rid of the stench is to re-cover the headliner, but for now I'm just trying anything for a break from smelling that foul odor.

After I started spraying the cleaner into the headliner, it started dripping amber colored droplets onto the floor. uke:

I hit it heavy, let it sit for an hour then vacuumed it a few times. It's a bit better but I'm afraid that If I hit it with the cleaner too many times the fabric will crumble or I'll damage the backer.

Anyone have any idea on how to clean out the vents without removing them?

If the backer is the same stuff as the particle board in the doors and on the rear seat backs, it can handle getting wet to some extent. It smells funny when the glue gets wet.

This works well. It isn’t a permanent fix but it gets rid of the smell for half a year. Part #5909

Disabled DTRL and put in some GE Night Hawk sport bulbs.

Also tryin out the Yeti Ice in the RTIC 20 qt. It’s still rock solid from Friday morning. The ice was pretty wet when I put it in the cooler and soon after it froze solid. Ill get one more yeti ice pack for my RTIC 45qt.

Yeti ice is just an overpriced ice pack I don't think you will see a difference

Finished my Satoshi Grille and bedlined my Flares/mldgs.



Made a Satoshi style grille using all OEM Toyota parts.




Cut my bumper valence for more clearance




And bedlined my trim and flares

late model center console including e-brake handle, and console mount
front skid plates (in excellent condition)
2 sets of rear hatch struts, (one set will lift the hatch all the way up!!:biggrin2
rear window wiper blade + mounting bracket
Battery hold down (previous owner used a shoe lace...)

The plastic radio bezel?! Ugh broke mine in the corner, including the clip that keeps it in the actual dash.

Also replaced my broken automatic antennae and put in a crossover for the front door components.

I'd love to see this when it's done. I'm figuring out how to put Limited flares on my SR5. I was going to paint them SEM trim black which is great paint but if your bedliner turns out better I might do that.

Bumped my Falken Wildpeaks up to 265/75/16. Makes the speedometer more accurate than with 265/70/16, go figure.



Now that I'm settled on the tire/wheel combo, I'm ready to paint the wheels!

Since I have major roof rack envy and am cash poor at the moment- I took a few minutes, some scrap steel, and some bed frame parts to fab up a potential platform. If I put the krylon touch on it (flat black) and did some cutting and ran a few beads- I think it might actually work. I used some support legs from an old pillar stand in the middle with a cross beam- both work as supports in addition to the factory bars- beams fit over them perfectly actually. I might give it a go to see how it looks this weekend- even if it is a little bit redneck. Hell- if a bedframe can hold my fat ass, it might as well be Safari rated...

In the process of rebuilding a junkyard sunroof assembly because I'm tired of not being able to use mine. It seems there's a common trend with the cable seizing/rusting inside of the casing its in...

Hoping to have the rebuilt assembly in this weekend.

Made some shackle mounts for a rear bumper build. Just need to buy me some 1/4" shackles now!
