The 1/2 worn Grabbers I am running are loud and transmit so much into the steering, anything below 65 MPH is like driving on never-ending washboard, but that's part of the thrill of driving MTs

The area is called the Alabama Hills, just outside Lone Pine, CA. It's not just one trail, its a big network of trails over a few square miles. Its easy to spend an afternoon or day exploring the area, and there are many incredible campsites to be found.

Is the entrance to that trailhead right behind the Alabama Spillway?

The area became famous because lots of old westerns were shot there, some new movies too. Where the 4runner is parked in this picture is the campsite from the movie "Django Unchained"

The eastern sierras are an amazing place with 1000s of miles of trails to drive and many beautiful sights to see.

I got the cxt's a few weeks ago, and I've been very impressed with the road performance/sound. I'm sure they won't clear like an m/t, but they are definitely more aggressive than an a/t.

I don't know nothins about no Alabama Spillway. In Lone Pine, CA, turn west off of Hwy 395 onto Whitney Portal Road. The official road in is a right on Movie Road. There are many ways in off of Whitney Portal, You can't miss it.

I would definitely recommend you visit. Retirement might give you the time to actually thoroughly explore the Owens Valley area. To balance out all the fun you should check out Manzanar National Historic Site, go through the museum and ruin your day. It's somewhere every American should go at least once.

Did the lower control arm bushings, which were long overdue. Only had to cut one sleeve off. Much better driving now.

Not today, but some new things. Brought the truck to shop to get my tires replaced. Got Cooper St Maxx for $460 with 8k on them.

Wired a constant 12v outlet for my dometic fridge which perfectly firs behind my seat with enough space for the vents. The lid does not open "all the way" but its enough to get food out. Plus I am tall. So I don't care about other people lol.

While back, some may remember. I have small amount of rust on my passenger side rear fender. So I got the dog leg from wolf steel. So I can just cut out the part I need and fix it.

Also, at work. Came across this bad boy. 40 ****ing ton chainfall

probably for us, not sure yet where we will need it lol
