fireman, the way you describe, doesn't sound all that bad. Like alot of us on this forum, we are mechanically minded..so when the time comes...you bet i'll follow those directions and get that starter in place.

Pulled the rear cone bumpstops out. It was a little too high in the behind. Mine came without them from factory, I added them with the 2906s.

That settled the rear about 3/8 of an inch at the wheel arches. Good enough. Now it is about 1/2 to 3/4 inch higher in the rear unloaded. a good load of camping gear settles it to about dead level. I'm happy.

It does slide in and out, one has to manipulate it just right so think "Tetris". I tried rebuilding one without removing it from it's hole and it for me it was too little of space for my liking. -J

You did what I did to my old 3rd gen. I did most of the interior in black except the ceiling and the rear quarter panels hehe. Steering wheel is a nice touch.

new LED turn signals

Added new LED turn signals to the headlight filler panels. The openings in the bumper that used to be for the turn signals will be used for fog lights. (if anyone needs a pair of ARB turn signals, these are brand new, and will be for sale - since I have no use for them now)

Installed a Eibach Pro-Truck lift kit ~2.5". Ran into some bumps (rusted top bolts and top hat that ended up being cut out) but all buttoned up and looking good! Build thread coming as soon as I have enough posts.

whenever I roll down my window (about 30% of the time) the interior rubber weatherstrip will roll down into the door panel. finally investigated and sure enough the felt has worn down completely on the upper lip. and that rubber sticks to the window. I dont want to spend $60ish dollars to replace the two fronts so I am going to pick up some cheap felt at the hobby shop and try to glue it on. The rears are fine

also had these arrive today (getting ready for when Houston floods again...)

Bled the clutch because it had been shifting weird. Fluid looked like soy sauce but might be partly because she’d been sitting for four months. Everything’s all good now though.
