So I bought a new head unit for my 02 3rd gen limited and a got everything out and now I'm trying to connect the new head unit to the old amp and I'm having some serious trouble. I would love some help

Thanks for the link! I bought my runner recently and went to change blades got stumped by the rear!

Most recent repair on mine was a very poor exhaust patch! It will fail again soon but it lasted long enough to get me a sticker!

It finally happened...

My 4Runner let me down for the first time in nearly 7 years of ownership.

The truck has been sitting for a month, as my Wife and I just returned from a trip to Venice/Slovenia/Croatia/Bosnia/Montenegro/Czech Republic/UK...

The first day back, I was Headed back to work (to pay for the trip!!!), and on the highway, without warning, I lost power. I pulled over, put it in park, and it idled for maybe 10 secs, and stalled. On cranking, it would catch but not continue to run.
Over the years, in various vehicles, I've experienced 2 fuel pump failures. This felt like number 3! While waiting for the auto club tow, I googled fuel pump replacement, 4Runner and discovered the second PITA repair on the 4Runner (the first being a starter replacement, V6). I decided to have it towed to a Toyota guy I know, and he did the job (tank drop etc). He charged me 2 hrs labour and the cost of the pump. I had my 4R back in the driveway before the end of the day! Not really the end of the world considering the truck has 290K (km)...

After my son’s dog chewed the cargo area carpet in my ‘99, I ordered a used replacement carpet and installed it. Really easy. BUT, before reinstalling, I bought some Home Depot insulation/sound proofing padding and placed that over existing padding. What a difference! Much quieter. No noise from the rear tires. I feel like my car is new again!

Just a 130 miles short of 300,000 miles the 4Runner got a nice upgrade. The CVT awning looks great, setups up pretty easy (a lot easier with two people), and is decently lightweight.

Oh so does mine!!! Maybe I should change it proactively.

I did an engine swap a few years back and created a wish list of proactive items. A fuel pump was on that list. In reality, due cost, I had to eliminate alot that was on this long list. I did the fuel filter, fuel rail feed line, various hoses, belts and ALL gaskets and seals on the long block(tb/wp as well). After finding how tight the starter fit, I also rebuilt it, before I put the engine in. Replacing the fuel pump ($200) at this point would have been easier, but I didnt, and lost that gamble! If youre considering it, its a gut thing... have you changed the filter at least periodically, have you run the truck just above E regularly ( I always keep it above 1/4 as the fuel cools the pump), who knows? If you spend alot of time off road it might be good piece of mind. My failure was really an annoyance, a few hrs and a few hundred. That would have been a totally different story if I'd been in the bush!

I'm using a cheap ass OBD2 Bluetooth adapter plugged in under the dash.

Then I found a Samsung Tablet on sale, but you can use just about anything Bluetooth enabled.
the tablet is nice, I can use it for nav. the gauges can overlay ontop of any other program also.
oh yah, and some "RAM" mounts.
Torque will display anything the OBD2 spits out.

Before the weekend, did the driver side outer tie rod, then alignment was done on Friday, since almost all the front end was changed apart from control arms....it was way off.

Today...Front and Rear Diff fluid....trying Valvoline in the rear ‘coz no one had enough Mobil 1 locally....so the front has Mobil 1.

Need to do transfer case too but the diffs/fluids were in great shape, was only about 25k again they were last done so no surprise.

Also did tranny drain and fill, 4 qts Valvoline....smoother shifting already, will do another 4qts in a few weeks...my Tranny fluid was kinda dark red, it was time.

Install was straightforward, except the fact that in order for the controller to comunicate with my stereo(JVC KWV140BT... dunno if applicable to all stereos) an interface needed to be installed.
