I picked this up with my buddy for $2200. He took the nice leather seats and back lights and I keep the rest. I was thinking of parting it out for the e-locker and a few other nice things but it is so nice other than the front corner I would really like to get it back on the road.
The guy got drunk and hit a power pole and didn't claim any of it. So the title is clear. The pole miraculously just hit the front wheel so the control arm brackets on the frame are bent, the wheel sits back a few inches. I am thinking I can just take off the control arms and whack the brackets straight again? The frame is otherwise fine, no damage to the frame rails themselves.
The engine turns over and everything works amazingly even though the fuse box got smunched up. But the engine won't fire. Grill amazingly survived unscathed with only one broken clip.
Needs a new hood, windshield (his head hit it), fender and I'd need to cut out that corner of the body and weld in a new one. Is this practical? I don't see why not. Just cut it out where it's still good and cut out the exact same section from one from the junkyard and weld it back in. I have a new Champion radiator I could put in.
What do you think? This would easily go for $10k before the accident, it is in very good condition with virtually no rust. 2000 Limited with multimode xfer case
