My Emergency Brake Bell Crank is so dirty it is seized! As hard as I pull it will not free. I tried heating the pivot points with a torch avoiding brake lines with the torch and still nothing. Anyone had this problem too? If so were you able to un-seize and if so how? Thanks.

do you have slack in the line? if so I was able to tap mine with a hammer in the am to free them up before I replaced them. If your not getting slack in the cable with the lever down it might be corroded/frozen in the sleeve - I was able to pull mine and lube it for some more life but will likely be replacing the whole cable soon anyway. hope that helps.

I replaced brake pads and rotors, and installed 17 inch FJ cruiser wheels with 265/65/17 nokian snow tires.

Scored 3 of the tires for free (basically new), bought one tire new, and the wheels for $150. Im pretty stoked.

Will post a pic when the sun is up.

I realized that the transmission I got for my 2001 2wd 4runner has only one plug in for the wires and there is a cable that was not on my transmission that just stopped working. So where can I find out how to get this transmission to work for me? the trans I got was a 99

Annual oil change day !

1 yr and 14K on the cheapest crap oil that I could find last year when I got the 'runner. Today I treated it to another OEM filter and some Rotella T6.

I also installed a xmas gift. My GF has these in her Rouge, I must have talked about them enough times that she thought I'd want some for my clunker. She was right ! I hope that I never lose keys between the seat and console ever again.

If the two tiny wires look as dirty as the bulb it certainly won't hurt!

I ran out of room for adjustment so I replaced the '96's accelerator cable with a junkyard pick that was about an inch shorter than mine.

That should be more vertical- it's hard to get good angles with while laying on the floorboard under the dash.
