Finally got my smoke up and running, smoked the manifold through the intake, found a rather sizable vacuum leak off the upper manifold.

I pulled calipers off a 2001 Tundra for the brake upgrade and introduced my youngest son to the junkyard experience. It is a rite of passage with my 5 sons to go to the U-Pick to get stuff for their cars (or mine, if the boy is learning to drive on it). He had a blast and so did I!

I finally disabled the VSC/TRAC with the AndyMod... I've been frustrated about this for the past year since I bought my '02. Can't wait to try out the new modes on the trails ~

Took off one rotor to find out new ones I purchased are smaller. Might have to throw old ones back on and get a return done for the right size... I got the 297mm which I'm assuming was wrong

I have a minty 3rd Gen sitting on 2" pucks. Trimmed fenders to accommodate turning Radius of front tires. I wanted to add bullbar for no reason. I was trying to make a post with the picture asking for advice but the site won't allow me to start a thread.
Originally I wanted steel bumpers, but I'm afraid that there won't be enough clearance. I've heard they improved the approach angle on the steel bumpers, so they don’t really reach into that area at all... but I'm not sure.

It's not the front that usually runs into clearance issues, it's at the rear of the wheel well with the pinch weld. If you go big enough with tires, you may hit the windshield washer bottle at the front, but you shouldn't be doing that with spacer lifts.

No, never, though the trim numbers were wonky when it was warmed up. Also there were times when started cold that the engine seemed jumpy so to speak. It is rare I cuss the Japanese but replacing vacuum lines can be a real PITA. :Cry:
I just helped a neighbor’s kid address this code today on a Subaru Outback following [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION] social distancing guidelines. It turned out that the thermostat was stuck open, never letting the engine achieve normal operating temperature, thus tripping the money light. Usually for the 4Runner a PO420 indicates a bad kitty but look at live data for a PID value that looks out of place.

Bolted on a new set of LCAs. Surprisingly, the old set's bushings still seemed fine. The PO must have changed them. Oh well, I guess I now have spares.
Last thing coming is an ECGS needle bushing replacement before I get an alignment. I basically have a whole new front steering assembly. I can't wait to try it out!

Located a troublesome noise that I've been hearing for more than a year! It was a "scuff scuff" that was very noticeable with windows down and only when turning slightly in one direction. My mechanic checked when balancing my tires and couldn't find anything.
After i pulled the caliper (199mm Tundra) and rotor off I found that the OEM dust shield, which I had had to bang backward to make room for the TBU, has somehow bent back in one place and was contacting the rotor. Nice to finally wrap that one up!
