Just returning from Emporia, KS after the Dirty Kanza. 1100 uneventful miles of driving at . . somewhat greater than legal speeds with the AC on most of the time. Sometimes it's nice not to have any drama. However, the DTE was wildly inaccurate. It wasn't a huge issue though.

I am. Just finishing things up on it to get it ready.
Thought it would be better if it had a legal license plate holder that lit up vs it just zip tied back there.
Now just going to start detailing it and should be on the market soon.

I have no idea if my MPG gauge is a unicorn but ive tested in on a few different road trips recently and its been dead on accurate.

Mine consistently reads 1.7mpg too high
I was referring to the Distance To Empty. An example from yesterday: the DTE showed 120 miles and the next gas was 60 miles away. When I got to the station it said "6" miles left. I was using gas at twice the rate it should have been.
I didn't think to check MPG. Maybe the two were related? I'm sure going uphill, into the wind, at 85mph with A/C I was getting much less than my typical 16-18mpg.

I usually leave mine on the DTE screen (it's happier to look at than "15mpg" or "25mph average speed") and have noticed that it usually goes down a lot faster than it says it will (aka, go 1 mile, it drops 2 miles).
My guess is that it uses the average MPG and the amount of gas left in its calculations. Since the MPG reads high for me, it's gonna say that I can go farther than I actually can.
FWIW, even when it hits zero you should still have a few gallons left.

Oh yeah, I Havent tested that and I doubt thats very accurate.. its probably just a good idea at best.

Rides a little stiffer than the xreas but feels more responsive and confident. I would highly recommend it to anyone! Metaltech was very helpful and answered a lot of questions! I will be buying from them in the future!

I tried to figure out my starting issue... I also put in some LED bulbs for the tail lights and they are super bright!
