Cool headlights! I've thought of doing some LED's in my high beam but was concerned how the plastic housing would handle the extra weight/leverage of the LED lights mounted in the high beam bowls.



Are you mounted directly to the back of the housings or mounted onto the high beam reflector bowl? Any vibrations when going over bumps where the LED's bounce around?



Props for the creative idea.

I cut the high beam bowl in the middle to fit the lights. Made some brackets to raise the light up to center the lights in the bowl. Drilled a hole in the bottom of the housing assembly and ran a bolt thru into the light mount bracket. Blacked it out so you can't see it.

finished my platform and bungee rod holder for my 03 I just got, also practiced plasti dippin dad's XJ trim before doing my rims.

Upgraded the center console to the smokers package with flush mount usb ports.

Also replace my rear end links with 2nd gen 4runner moog links to compensate for my lift to correct the sway bar. They are about an inch longer than stock roughly.

It probably depends on how long of socks you wear. For example, my socks are kinda long so those would be a couple inches shorter than sock, in my case.

Still not sure why you are comparing them to socks?

Be sure to add some sort of UV-resistant clear coat afterwards. They will go back to foggy in about a year if you simply polish them. They make some rub-on type clear coat specifically for headlights, or you can use automotive UV resistant clear coat in a spray can.

Just bought online a new set of Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S 285/70R17s (Go BIG or go home) and entire new brake rotor/pad kit. Can't wait to install them.

Sadly, in a couple of weeks, I will have to sell my oustanding Firestone Destination AT 255/75R17s (about15K miles) and 1.5" concentric wheel hub spacers (installed in July - about 400 miles) - smooth, comfortable, and quiet running with zero vibration - even @ 80 MPH++.

Will post new tire/lift and sale threads soon. Never done.
