I carpe'd the snow diem as well as i could with little time available, a parking lot and unfortunately all-time 4wd. shout out to the vsc/trac nanny disabler switch.

RAM Mount for my Tablet for GPS

I have been wanting to do this for a while since I can barely see my Montana GPS. (Side note, getting old sucks, but it beats the alternative.) Finally got around to mounting a RAM ball on the dash surround. It turned out great! I'll probably paint the bolt heads black just to make things more subdued.

Ive got the same head unit lol. I really like it, but I think they put the "Display" button in a poor position. I hit it half the time pressing the track forward button. :wtf:

I pretty much only use the steering wheel controls.

Haven't been driving the ole girl much since I got the Volvo (the heated seats and 6 speed are just too tempting ) but figured I should make sure everything still works before the snow we're supposed to get tonight.

I figure the 4R is due for some TLC though. This weekend I'm gonna do a thorough fluid flush, sort out my skid plate situation, and take care of some suspension things I've been putting off.

Added some wheels and tires off a 5th Gen trail edition. Yeah, the OEM tires suck, but they're brand new and came on the rims, so I'll drive them for a while.

They came off of a 2016 Trail Edition. A buddy of mine bought it brand new, but had the dealer upgrade him to the TRD wheels. The original wheels have been collecting dust in his garage, literally never used. Worked out as a nice upgrade!

Yep, that's right. It was the ORIGINAL FREAKING BATTERY. I sure am impressed lol. It probably would've kept going longer if I hadn't let it sit in the brutal cold we've been having.

Replaced my rear shocks last weekend with Billy 5100s. I'll likely tackle the fronts (also billy 5100s) this weekend so that I can get an alignment right after.

Also, my CV boots have been torn for quite a while and figure I may as well just replace the CVs while I'm at it. Called up CVJ as they are apparently the gold standard for CV's outside of buying a new toyota axle for $500/piece. Got a quote and they are $108/piece for a Toyota reman which is much cheaper than I expected.

Also buying a new impact wrench (mine doesn't have enough muscle) and ratcheting wrench set because that would have sped up the whole process on the rears.Even with the new tools, and better parts than I was quoted, I'll still be saving more than 50% versus having it done.

I do the same. Thats how I am able to justify tools I but to the old lady. From house to car, I can save money and then still keep the tool. Win-win

Cut rear shocks off, treated minor surface rust on frame with wire wheel, sand paper, cleaned and rust reform, undercoated. Looks new again and protected. Then got carried away and cut off my exhaust, ordered a new Gibson piece to replace it for cheap.

Replaced Gas Cap

Got a CEL today (first time). Pulled a P0456 code. Replaced gas cap with oem. Seems ok now. We will see after a few startups. This forum is so helpful. I don't post a ton but I am on here everyday burning up a bunch of my time and I really appreciate all of the info on here.

On the 4th Gen, installed Daystar 1.5" levels and Rancho Suspension on all four corners, had the alignment done. Finally leveled things out and it rides great.
