Just wanted to note, since I was cleaning my TB this last weekend. I got the bolts to 15 ft-lb very carefully, but it for sure felt like to much. Nothing broke, so that was good. Then the next day I was looking at my Haynes manual and it list ~108 in-lbs, or about 9 ft-lbs!!!!! I'm not sure where the 15 ft-lbs is coming from, but I read the same thing on a few post, and people are always mentioning bolts braking because of it.
Just wanted to get the word out that 9 ft-lbs should be the right torque! I removed mine and reinstalled to that torque and it felt safe.

changed both sides of my cv axle with oem toyota axles, now remaining the lca&uca, the whole front needs a refresh, 164k miles on the odometer

This was yesterday, but wanted to share
I installed LED lights on my interior, fog lights, low beams, and turn signals front and rear. Everything works great, except now I suffer from the rapid turn signal flashing. I will have to modify the turn signal flasher or install some resistors.

Resistors are pretty simple to install. And you should only need to do one for either side (will make front and rear flash properly)

My son is moving to Colorado next week, so got the 2004 4Runner in tip top shape this week:
New front Sway bar end links (no more "popping noise")
new drivers side CV Axle (boot had a small tear, was fine but went ahead and replaced)
New front brake pads and rotors
Oil Change with BG MOA
Cabin and engine filters replaced
BG 44K added to fuel
Drivers door strap replaced (was hitting window when rolled down)
Replaced Front and Rear Turn Signals, Brake Lights, license plate, reverse lights, and fogs with LED's and added LED friendly flasher module (no resistors)
Sylvania ZEVO LED headlights
Full interior and exterior detail
and found OEM rubber floor mats from a 2011 4Runner for $40. :biggrin2:

you could also do what I did and install a smarttap relay by using a small harness adapter out of a GX470.
You lose your DRLs, but you gain the ability to tap the stalk to signal a set number of times, as well as some interesting strobe modes for your hazards
Not knocking everyone else's ideas but I bought this flasher relay off of amazon to fix my hyperflash and have not run into any issues.

Do you know what size resistor I should get? I have seen several but with different amounts of resistance. :shrug:

I looked t that, but it says 02-05 and its an 8 pin, I think mine is a 12 pin. I will not be sure until I take mine out though.
