Tried 4Lo on my wife's 4runner, a lot of beeping but that's it. I'll continue to try and troubleshoot it over the next few months and if it doesn't work then I'll take it in and let the dealer fix it (likely bad actuator) under warranty.
CPO warranty is good thru 6/15/14.

are you in neutral while your foot is on the break? 4 lo wont engage unless you are.

Go with fox or icon for the rear. You get a lot more travel for not that much more.

Neutral with foot on brake? It beeps if you don't do it that way. Engage 4hi, then pop it into neutral with your foot and turn the knob. It should work. If not, go to the dealer.

yes sir, per the manual. I'm gonna try some of the 'tricks' others here on the forum have had luck with after the weather warms up (no snow and above freezing) before taking it into the stealership for repair....

i found my rear Fox resi shocks for $200 used. Just have to find the right deals and be ready to jump on them.

I'm broke too. I just found a good deal, but you can get a set of rear fox monotube 2.0's for $200.

Speaking from experience, I'd save a little more and be able to get better stuff first instead of having to buy another set once you realize how much travel you lose from shorter shocks

I think one of the vendors on the site has them actually. It's the speedRev site or whatever. It has Rev in the name, and is the top vendor on the list currently. I think they were icon monotubes for $200

I got mine used from a local FJ member on one of my forums.

Just to clarify, I'm talking about rear shocks. If you do the rear suspension right, you can get CRAZY travel for a really cheap budget. I'm just recommending that you get better rear shocks, like a 10" travel fox or icon, so you can see how awesome it is! Also, be sure to extend your rear swaybar links!!! That was a cheap mod that gained me a lot more droop and up travel

Thanks man!...took more time than expected tho due to seized strut bolt and a broken head bolt on the rear sway bars..but very happy on how it turned out next is the LR UCA on my list for Xmas lol...

:behindsofa: I broke two of the bolts holding the rear sway bar brackets to the frame because i was lazy and impacted the crap out of them, Whoops. Lesson learned.

Luckily they were the ones with the hooks so the sway bar lives another day
