What did you do with your 4runner today?

It wasn't just today, what I did. It was over the entire Thanksgiving Day Holiday weekend PLUS what I did. I drove the old girl from north Florida (near the Georgia state line) to south Florida (just north of Ft Lauderdale) to pick my fiance up and bring her back up to north Fl for Thanksgiving weekend. Then I took her back to south Fl on Monday. I returned back to north Fl today. Pleasant trip, not bad. It did well on the pavement, mpg wise anyhow. Averaged 19+ mpg (22.1 on the computer)

Mobil 1 75w90 front diff and transfer case. Lucas 80w90 for the rear. Had the new windshield installed yesterday.

Today I re-torqued the rear wheel bearing nuts and fixed both inner cv boots that started to leak.
 
My Runner got brownie points tonight. I decided to do an experiment and it totally worked. I hooked my (empty) garbage can handle to my tow hitch and pulled it up my long, steep 80 degree driveway, right into the garage! Totally made my night knowing I won't be hauling that thing up the mountain anymore, lol. Another reason to love my rig. :)

Edit: Okay, maybe more like 60 degree's, lol, but it's pretty dang steep, I won't park on it, that's for sure.

I do that to pull heavy trash cans up my long and steep driveway to the street when I'm in a rush to leave for school. Well, I used to do that. Now I don't keep a hitch in unless I need it because I don't have a locking pin anymore.

I just use a 5/8'' bolt and lock nut on all of my hitches. Definetly has to do with laziness and not wanting to go buy a proper pin though :biggrin1:
