Finished my new tube bumper. Im willing to make some of these to sell if people are interested. Weighs about 70lbs and is spray on bedlined. (Sorry for the crappy pics, I only have my phone)

Trying to decide whether I should throw the brand new set of Silverstar Ultra 9006 bulbs in my fog lights, or 1 of the 2 extra 9006 HID sets that I have in there... :firstworldproblems:

They're brand new, I have 2 sets that have been sitting for years. The only reason I'm hesitant is because they're 6000K and I have 4300K in my projectors. I'm sure they'll look fine, but I bought a pair of Silverstar Ultras, and then remembered I had the 2 sets of HIDs

Ahh, that makes sense. Let me ask you this? Not to get you to continue spending but, would you purchase 3k/3500k (Yellow) HID fogs ? Especially with 4300k heads, I think it would look really good. and either return the Silverstars or sell them.

At least they lasted 3years lol
Mine always burn out at about the 1yr mark. But I'm talking about my 3rd gen .. (DTRL).. I like them on as well so I shouldn't ***** lol

ANYWAY! We disabled the DRL's on [MENTION=90220]charlie corpse[/MENTION]'s 3rd gen. It was just a connector and it looks much better

put some dielectric grease on all the wire connectors and where the bulbs plug in. humidity (what little you may get in Nevada lol) will cause moisture build up in the light sockets and electrical connections causing them to short out. The dielectric grease prevents moisture shorts.

Nah, I bought the Silverstars with that intention, it's either them or the HID's, not going to buy anything else.
Damn, my silverstars in my 03 lasted about 5 years, and were still going strong when I traded it in. Had them in fogs, head lights, and high beams. I bought the HID sets to replace them, but needed a relay harness so went back to the silverstars figuring I'd replace them with HID when they burned out, but never did. So the HID kits have been sitting for years. Paid $200 for the 2 sets too

I got a brand new set of 9005 DDM High Beam HID's too, but I haven't decided which car to put them in yet either :rofl:
