Got some new shoes for the 4r Duratrac in a 265/70r17 Range C. Can't wait for the weekend to try them in the snow and dirt.

Then found out she doesn't close after opening
Fml

Then broke out the dremmel

Gave a quick few tries opening and closing all was well
Then i put the rest of console back in and bam same problem
Errr
Then found out a new bulb i just pit in fell out somewhere as i have had the ac controls in and out 100 times this week
So back to toyo in the am

So no dvd's for me

Love the new cig and usb outlets tho
And i didn't have to cut anything behind the panel

to whom ever knows what these are used for

That's the thing I don't like about the 5th gens - you have to put some serious meat under the wheel wells to make the proportions look right.

This sorta scares me about the bulbs falling out. Today I had my stereo installed and realized tonight that a couple of bulbs were now out. I'm assuming they just fell out as well. The problem is that they didn't install the correct USB/AUX cable that I wanted them to. So tomorrow at 7:30AM I have an appointment at Toyota to get new bulbs and have them installed. Then at 10:30 I have another appointment to get the correct USB/AUX extension cable installed. Seems pointless to let Toyota replace bulbs and then have the lazy stereo installer take the ac controls off to put the correct USB/AUX cable in. Guess I'll cancel that Toyota appointment and have them do it some time next week.

The bulbs barely cost anything and you can buy them from superbrightleds.com and get whatever color you want. Mine are blue and white but might switch them to red.

Does the stereo simply not have space to open when installed? I'm looking at one of those to put in over the summer

hope your installing new dust seal ..or you will be doing them again allot sooner then you expect
i see to many people just slap on a new bearing and call it a day

It's not that it doesn't have space. It is made for non moving screens. With a moving screen it needs to be sanded down so the mechanism can slide on the bottom and not get kinked up on top also.

Bust out the sandpaper and file and have fun putting it on and off another 100x. Things You do so it can fit properly. That's why I charge more for a motorized screen install using this kit.

omg why didnt the crutchfield guy say anything to me when he sold it as a kit to me

and to change a wheel bearing should take no more then 2 hours for a first timer.....
but again i dont see those guys changing the dust seal....that will add another 20mins to job
but then its done right....
no sense on putting a brand new bearing in and have it get contaminated
especialy you in the pines

It took about an hour I guess.. Not too big a deal once you get all your stuff ready. Although removing the original hub was a bit harder than expected and was told:lie:. Then again it was original hub..200K miles will probably do that lol:nod:.. But not too bad at all..

Replaced my generic NAPA wipers with Rain-X Latitude blades. Also picked up a bottle of seafoam but I'm concerned about doing this safely! Also don't wanna freak people out in my school's parking lot lol

Did some research and I was thinking the O ring (#6)was said seal..

So no apparently I didnt.. Is this a hard job? from looks of it Im going to have to unbolt the knucle.
