What did you do with your 4runner today?

Got two chipped keys in the mail. The toyota dealership parts guy (Greensburg Toyota, Greensburg, PA) cut the keys from the VIN for me, quoted me five bucks. Then he mentioned they'd only open doors until programmed. I said I could open the door six times, and really needed to be able to due to being a student and not having money.
He cut both keys and then said have a nice day. Didn't even charge me. I also got my crush washers for front/rear, center diffs from him a week ago and paid 12 bucks total, plus 8 bucks for the rear wiper. I'm pretty impressed and kinda starting to lilke the dealership.

just looked at it on way to work and you dont even need the top and bottom pieces of this faceplate....i going to order the other one with just the sides from metra....might call crutchfield sometime this weekend when i have an hour to kill...

Where is the correct vacuum hose located on the 1GR-FE to introduce seafoam into the intake?

Rear Entertainment System. Your 4Runner should've came (factory) with 2 wireless headphones. Anyway, most (including me) never use it.
Can't answer your question, just be careful with that SF!

My dad's didn't come with headphones. He had the receiver but no headphones. The dealer wanted to charge extra.
What was fun though was with the remote in the back seat, I could change the radio station and CD track and make my dad go insane. I was a bad youngster
And I'm trying to be careful with this stuff! I don't want anything to go boom!
I put half of the bottle in my tank. Didn't have time to find the proper hose. I pulled one hose off, I thought it was for the brake booster. Nope. Fuel pressure regulator. It started running all sorts of rough, so I plugged it back in quickly

Trimmed allot more off and ditched the pos side brackets and just left her popped in
She opens and closes ok for now
Might call crutchfield and see if they will send me the other metra faceplate with just the sides
But for now i am enjoying just having a dash and BLUETOOTH

Finally had my Pioneer AVH-X2600BT installed yesterday. I went the lazy route and had a professional do it. I've installed CD players before but never double din units with Bluetooth mics and the USB/AUX extension. This morning I finally picked up the bulbs for my A/C controls that were missing. Toyota said they would install them for me but it would take 3 hours. I'm assuming they would've charged me way to much so I referred back to this forum and a helpful YouTube video. Got the bulbs replaced myself for $20.00 and 10 minutes of my time. The only one they had to special order that I didn't get in yet was the bulb behind the heated seat controller on the driver's side. I ordered the USB/AUX extension with my head unit that I've seen everyone using lately. The place that installed my stereo installed the USB extension that comes with the Pioneer head units, so I'm going back Tuesday to have that installed. I was a little upset that they didn't do it right the first time but to make up for it they didn't charge me for the install of my micro bypass switch, something I didn't even think a professional shop would touch. I guess it's always worth it to ask, just mentioned I wanted it for towing when I eventually add the back up camera. I did go ahead and mount it in the pocket under the A/C controls and used a velcro strip to hold it in place. It's gonna look great when it's done. For now, here is a picture of my new head unit installed. I went with the lower end Pioneer just because I didn't need navigation, HD or Satellite radio.

Very looking install & I'm assuming all your lights come on , alarm still works ? Have read some horror stories on here !

Thanks. As far as the lights and alarm, everything is working fine. The night I had it installed I played around with the settings in my garage for at least an hour. Went to crank it up and move my car and it wouldn't turn over. The check battery light came on. Woke up this morning and it started with a little hesitation and so I took it to the battery shop. They checked my starter and alternator before installing a brand new battery. The old one was 4 years old so definitely time for a new one anyway. All in all I really like the new head unit. My JBL stock sub is blown though so I've gotta get that taken care of soon. For now I just adjusted the stereo to play without it.

Is that it brutal ? As it sits right now looks ok to me , how much better can it get ?

i think we had the same brackets.i pretty much completely cut off the top of mine. only way to get 100% functionality of the close open and tilt. i know the other face plate doesnt cover the bottom for our style of AC controller

Thanks. They're Rubicon take-offs. BFG KMs in 255/75. I wanted to try and upgrade to 255/80s but I couldn't pass on this deal.
