What did you do with your 4runner today?

Changed a flat passenger rear tire. Went ahead and replaced all four with Cooper Discover ATP 265/70/17.

Installed a Gibson stainless cat-back. It is beyond sweet exactly the sound I was looking for. Broke the rear clamp though during install. Bolt broke right in half. Holy y-pipe though, have you seen how restrictive that buggar is?!

This morning I changed my GF's brakes. What an adventure that was....

While I was changing the brakes, she gave my truck a well deserved bath!

Then I went up to NH and hung out with [MENTION=98468]BigNuge[/MENTION] for a bit

And we worked on my new project! Today we pulled the carbs out and cleaned them out

And the fruits of our labor

I'm having flashbacks of cleaning the carbs on the three non running Yamaha Radian 600's i picked up earlier this year. Such a PIA to wrestle out those four connected carbs. :smash:

It was a TOTAL pain for us to pop the carbs back into the block, and then even worse to put the hoses back to connect to the air box. I think I'm gonna get 4 small air filters and just delete the air box. It'll make life WAY easier

First time poster, I just picked up my first 4Runner at the beginning of the month and I have to say I've never been so excited to own a vehicle. its a 2008 SR5 v6 4x4 with 112k on the the OD when we picked it up. I convinced the dealership that we bought it from to throw on some brand new BFG Long Trail T/A's, new pads & rotors before we drove away.

Last week I finally got around to fixing the little quirks around the truck that bugged me like the burned out light bulb in the AC unit, the cabin air filter which didn't look to have been changed since it rolled off the factory line, one of the low beams burned out so replaced the bulbs with something a little less yellow. Also changed the automatic locking functions to my liking. I still need to go back through the interior with a bottle of simple green, some shampoo and a shop vac to really get it clean.

I've got a few things lined up for it a little later such as blistein 5100s as the current suspension is feeling a little bouncy, nav/stereo/backup cam, possible katzkin leather install, weather tech front to rear, running board removal, then from there who knows.

Well I bought my 97 4runner about 3 months ago.found out the guy that had it before me never had the recall on the rear suspension done so I went to a Toyota dealer here and checked into it and he said they would do it free of charge.My OLE 97 now has 2 new coil springs and 2 new bumpers,It does ride better,now to get my brakes just right,scared to pull a utility trailer with it with a low brake pedal,new brake shoes and wheel cylinder kits put on rear,new brake line hoses in front,had the brakes bleed by 3 people,still about the same amount of pedal....

looking for ideas on how to gain another inch of height to the rear coils?
any ideas short of replacing the new springs i have just installed
they are icon overland springs.....

I can't get the quote to work but how much are they? I think the guys are talking about rear daystar spacers. I don't know if they have 1" but I know the 1.5" are maybe 50 for two. Were your coil springs only $50?!
