What did you do with your 4runner today?

This was the results from the past Saturday and Sunday. The weekend before i had gone on a ride on the Alabama Skyway with some T4R and TW members. We had a really good time but i came home with a few new pinstripes that i couldn't live with.

After three hours of pressure washing and hand washing i busted out the polisher to work on the scratches. After i was finished with the scratches i just kept going. even though i had done a full paint restoration at the beginning of July I felt like i was leaving it half done if I stopped. I went ahead and polished the rest of the truck with a Adam's Paint Correction Polish followed with Adam's Paint Finishing Polish. To finish off that Saturday gave it a coat of Adam's Machine Sealer. That Sunday i pulled the wheels off to clean and apply a good coat of Auto Finesse Mint Rims high heat wax. Then back to the truck again to give it a coat of Adam's Glaze and two coats of Adam's Americana Wax. To finish her off i hit the cladding with Shine Supply Trim Shine. Sorry for the crummy pics. Was the first time i slowed down this week.

Got my fiberwerx fenders in the mail today and wasted no time getting them on. Overall happy with the way they look, but definitely need to widen the front to fill out the fenders better. Oh well, long travel time I guess :heh:

I'm the exact opposite. I enjoy getting it dirty, and I clean it a few times a year so I can remember what salsa red pearl looks like, then on goes a protective coating of dust, pollen, and dirt

It is an absolute PAIN to mount on the stock rack. It's just too short to get your hands under it. I actually got the idea to open the sunroof to secure to the front bar.

Definitely some spacers or something would help a lot

Removing RTT By Myself

I would highly recommend the Comet rs720 mount. A lot of members use this mount along with myself. It mounts to the back hatch. Any 3 or 4 foot fiberglass antenna will work. Get a spring too so your antenna doesn't break if you snag a overhanging tree. You'll also need about 18-21 feet of antenna cable.

As far as radio goes, its really personal opinion. I have the Cobra 29 lx and love it. It has built in SWR meter, lcd display and more knobs then I know what to do with. its also huge so it takes up a lot of space.

Haha I haven't tried... I'm sure I could. Not looking forward to it but it is what it is. It's only 100lbs
