Ordered up a Midland 1001LWX with whether band from Amazon as well as the firestik, spring, and coaxial cable. I bought a Comet RS-720 mount off of eBay.
Should be expecting parts from the 10th through the 12th. I'm going to have a good weekend. :lock1:

Started to feel my OEM Panasonic battery was on its last legs. So after a lot of going back and forth picked I picked up a Super Start Platinum+ AGM from O'Reilly. It's a rebranded Deka Intimidator with 775CCA and 120min reserve. I was really tempted by the Interstate MT7 AGM due to the 4yr replacement warranty, but in the end I didn't think it was worth the premium even if I was paying wholesale. Plus the fact that Interstate is owned by Johnson Controls and they own Optima and I hate Optima.

Finally changed out the lights that were out in the HVAC controls and LCD panel. Getting harder and harder to find the time to do stuff anymore even if it's a 5 minute fix.
At some point I would like to do a full LED color swap and reverse polarity film on the LCD panel but for right now I'm just happy to have the lights working. :thumb:

How much do you charge for a full color swap?
I've seen the LED swap thread you did. Very nice! It would be nice if the lighting matched my 5th gen. I love how my 5th gen looks at night.

In the process of putting BAMF weld up sliders on. Had some trouble getting them to sit flush on the frame and still have the rear door be able to clear. Im not sure what the deal is exactly with that but the square stock feet had to be notched in order to compensate for the angle and sit flush on the frame with still enough room to clear the rear doors.
Currently got the drivers side on and coated it with Herculiner bed liner. Pass side will go on this friday.
Anyone who has attempted to weld sliders on has some idea of what im saying.. And if you haven't and are going to.. ask me and ill answer your questions.
ALL welding credit goes to my buddy Kris.
By the way my 4runner has XREAS and it was basically a non-issue when it comes to putting these on.
