What did you do with your 4runner today?

I figured out today that I need good recovery gear. I see a good snatch strap and winch in my near future! My brother and I went trail riding again today and he got stuck in a creek. I tried, but couldn't pull him out. All we had was a chain and i could get enough traction to do it. We ended up getting his tractor stuck too ring to get him out. He was stuck good! Finally, we found a friend with a snatch strap and he yanked him out with no problem! He owns a towing business, so he had all kinds of cool stuff!

It was soupy back there!

Started to install my LED turn signal/puddle light mirror covers. Got them from Aliexpress months ago. Very good quality. Anyway, pain in the d**k to install. Only installed one today.

I'll eventually write up a DIY on these.

Saturday night I decided I needed to get out of town and get some fresh air. I was only planning on taking the truck to Switzer Lake 30 mins down the road, but when I got there I felt like doing a little exploring of the area. I started following the trail to the camp grounds... and then I kept going. The trail quickly turned into a nice mild-moderate o/r trail. Nothing crazy but definitely very narrow. I followed the trail for about an hour before I lost confidence in the Runners ability. I was out there by myself and it was getting dark... better safe than sorry.

TL/DR Accidently found myself out on my first off road experience and loved it. I've caught the mod bug.

About 30 mins down 33 west from Harrisonburg. I ran into both a lifted Dodge and a lifted wrangler on the trail as well.

Haha yea Im at JMU. Im from NJ but Im going to school down here in Va. Im not positive but I think this was actually Flag Pole. I have a couple buddies down here at JMU that might be interested as well. One with an 02 Pathfinder and the other with a Wrangler. Im stock so Im a little nervous considering I also don't have much of any trail experience.

Flagpole is pretty tame. I did it with a spacer lift and street tires and there were even a few stock guys the last time I went. Just have to pick lines carefully in a few spots
