What did you do with your 4runner today?

Mine doesnt really make any noise, but the vibration did get worse after testing my A-tracs she other day. You know, locking in the 4x4 and driving circles to give myself a better understanding of how the system works. I was turning tight circles in 4lo for what I believe to be the first time in the trucks life (previous owner used it as a bad ass baby carrier). I'm just going to replace them, and see if it solves the issue.

Hey now. Mall-crawling is a perfectly fine use case for the 4Runner! :behindsofa:

Went to Albiqua Falls for the day. Great hike and awesome spot to hang out with the girlfriend and dog.

Was able to do some minor offroading to get to the trail head.

You can see the girlfriend and dog next to the falls in the picture above

:doh: Rush hour traffic and didn't notice the electric truck with the steel bumper was stopped. I smacked into the back of him and messed things up a bit. Including my Satoshi. It's all being worked on now and my Satoshi is being rebuilt. hwell:

Well glad everyone is hopefully okay. And while I'm sad about the grill and hood. . . does this mean new bumper. . that happens to be plate?? :bravo:

Looking to do the same thing very soon. Have you noticed any improvements/differences right away?

Could be in my head but it does feel like it decelerates harder during quick stops.
I had to use Centric's "quiet" something-or-other pads instead of the pads I wanted (they went out of stock as I was adding everything to my cart). The quiet pads don't seem to have as much initial bite. I know for doggone sure it's bled-out well, no air. It stops with a vengeance when I get on it.

I decided against it, actually. I thought about it for a while but just wasn't sure how much that'd push my lift down, due to the weight.

I doesnt push your lift down too much. Its only about a hundred odd pounds. Its as if you had a small passenger in your car.

Even still though the weight is negligible and there is always a small spacer to use to mitigate or just crank up the lift.

Either way armored 4runners not only look cool but also help protect that hood...

Just got my SR5 back from the weld shop. They cut away rusted parts of front frame extensions where the front aux cross member is attached, welded in new metal, and attached new cross member. In all, including cost of new cross member, it cost about $625.00 for repair. Now good to go on NYS inspection. Now to decide which one, the SR5 or Limited V8, to sell.

Final shop quote finally came in, $4,500 for the body damage, insurance has released the money and now the repairs can begin. SO ready to be back in my truck...

Actually, the final repair cost was $5,200, now hurry up and fix my truck! :wow:
