What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finally got mine washed today. I'm bad at that...

Also plasti dipped the front grill the other night. I need to do more coats. Seems like it held up fine in the car washer.

I installed a rear "hump" spoiler.... I glued it on so as not to do any drilling or cutting to my OEM rear hatch. I'll post the install and how it worked out once all is set up. That will take a couple days in the garage.

So we decided to make a road trip to Long Beach today, yeah I know is cold as @#@#, but we didn't have anything else to do. Also I haven't tested my runner in any long trip, longer than 30 minute drive since I bought it, so...

Got some new rubber...265/70/17 Yokohama Geolander A/T-S's....HUGE on-road improvement over the old, worn out BFG Long Trail T/A's that were on the 4R when I bought it.

Can't wait to give it an off-road test next week:banana:
 
Went to change my brake pads. Harmless enough, right?

Left front brake caliper had one piston seized which caused the brake pad to wear down to the metal.

I went to autozone and picked up left and right front calipers.

I'm really happy I got the right replacement caliper while I was at autozone. When I finished the left front, I went to the right side. BOTH of the pistons were seized and the pad was worn down even more than the left side.

Went for a test drive and break-in... I can coast now!!! :D Also I'm not being pulled to the right anymore!

I can't wait to see what could possibly be wrong with the rear axle....
 
Zack some guy just smashed your write up. He said " we are not all fire fighter models high five-ing bear grills"

Screw him!

1.- there is no such thing as a good looking fire fighter

2.- everyone knows you don't high five bear, you fist pound him.

This guy Arron is a jerk. And if I ever find him near any runner I'm going to slam his hands in my auto-locking lift gate!

Yeah, guys a douche. And he obviously knows nothing about Toyota reliability since the cars he compared our 4runners to are far inferior. Oh well, I'll drive my 4th gen and know its a WAY better vehicle.
