What did you do with your 4runner today?

That looks awesome, I have been debating on debadging my sides. My friend talked me out of it since the badges match my chrome door handles and such, but after seeing your SM like this, it really makes me want to do this

Thanks! I went back and forth for a few days then photoshopped them out of a pic last night and that was enough for me. The door handles don't really draw your eye from the vehicle but the badges did IMO. I'm photoshopping all my exterior mods first from now on. I'm also debating on doing the back ones or not. I don't mind them nearly as much tho.

I'm super pleased with how it looks so far.

Wasn't there some concern about the amount of heat in such a small enclosed area (the fogs)? If not, I'd do that mod in a new york minute.

It may be a passing fad, but I'm a big fan of the 5000K color even if it may mean less useable light. I think 3800K is the most useable light?

Zimdba, I think using a 55w ballast in the fog light is not recommended. From what I read, as long as you're running a 35w ballast you should be fine. I haven't run them at any length yet so I haven't checked on overheating...I also like the 5k light output, 3k is best for actual usuable light in fog.

I'd go for 2300 or 2500 in the fogs if you want yellow light. 3000k is yellow but not dark enough yellow for me. I might have to put some laminex over the lense.

I installed the Rear window up hack w/ factory key fob. It was originally written up by dpodo. My wife is finally satisified she can roll the window up without using the key. How bad was the install? I've been wanting to do this for some time

It wasn't bad at all. Took about an hour. Worst part was mounting the magnetic switch to bottom of tailgate. Or should I say trying to get two hands down in the bottom of the tailgate. I probably spent around $30 to do the mod. It is a great mod. I have already used it a few times. Real handy.
