Today we went to visit my parents in the Lehigh Valley. While everyone was eating and drinking wine inside, I washed my truck! As I type/post this, I'm drinking a glass!! Anyway, It was 72 sunny/cloudy and it was Oct 6. Doubt I'll get more days like this for the rest of the year.
Took the time to clean out all the sh*t out of the sunroof tracks, relube it and spray the track and other joints with WD40. Before it was sounding (moaning sound) ever so slightly, it dead silent now when it opens/closes. Win!
Clean enough for me. Engine block is a little crusty looking, I wish were was something I can do to make it look brand new. Oh well. I'm not going to sweat it.
YES, after every wash, I try to clean and armor all the inside wheel wells (because I'm stupid like that.........)

Put in a spacer lift and slapped on some 33's on 3rd gen 4runner wheels.

4Runner has been sitting in the GARAGE for the last 4 days. CEL/ATRAC/VSC blinking with

P0441 Evap incorr purge flow
P0455 Evap gross leak
Waiting on new gas cap in the mail. Anyone have an easy way to reset the system?

Looks good. This is the stuff i use for the wheel wells and undercarriage. If you scroll down you will see a video. When it dries it doesn't look that glossy. I just leaves it looking dark black and new. I also don't wipe mine down after spraying. I just let it soak in for a few hours.

HAh.... I thought I was the only one in these parts, that detailed the wheel wells and engine bay on a regular basis... here are the products that I use:

Came in 7th overall for fastest lap outta 30 cars in my class. Not bad i guess. I got to see alot of awesome cars at this track day.
Yeah when its done it should look even better. This guy works on and builds partd for alot of fast cars.

Finally found a good use for that storage bin in the vertical center console: It is quite secure and the door does not seem to have any inclination to pop open.
The transceiver mounts beneath the glove box up and out of the way. The head unit you see is easily removed to stow elsewhere or take with you.
I will post a write-up in the "Audio & Electronics" section for complete install when I get a chance.

Attached is a good load of Seasoned Red Oak from our North Tx Drought IMO. All my 4Runner could hold vs getting serious with my trailer (about a mi away 10-2-12). I had actually planned to just drive by to see the wood that I was told about w/o knowing the type. With 3 + cords racked in my small backyard, my plan was to wait until I start burning to start restocking. One look and my truck and I saw we had to get a full load w/o the truck shell in the 4Runner. LOL! 2-3 hrs later a friend reported the tree trimmers had hauled or chipped “All” the remainder of the wood. I left tons but the property owner wanted the wood removed soon.
I love, respect and protect that truck vs letting that job mislead you. The truck is versatile and a workers dream!

Rotated tires today. A little late at 46,196 miles, but done. Tires and brakes still original and look pretty good. Lubricated spare tire cable. Items for 45k maintenance schedule now complete.
