Ive done seafoam. Just reminds me of my boxer motor in my Subaru......should I be worried pr not?

Did so 4Runner lovin'. Hit 75,000 mi so I changed the oil and filter, rotated the tires, started looking for new tires and replaced the front break pads with OEM Toyota parts. Overall a good day.

You haven't (Recently) switched to a different brand/weight engine oil have you? And yes, now that you mention it, My Subie used to sound the same as well.

Seafoamed, changed the oil and filter, greased the drive shafts, and rotated the tires. Busy day and my truck feels so smooth now without the clunk.

Didn't you just seafoam not too long ago?
And where do you put the seafoam into the engine? I heard you use a vacuum line but idk which and I don't want seafoam going where it shouldn't go. I might do the seafoam when I hit 75k in a few weeks

Nah, last time I did it was February, about 8k miles ago. I suck it right through the vaccuum lines right on top of the engine by the intake manifold.

Got my tires balanced and rotated. 80% tread left but I was told I should consider getting new tires in the near future since they are 7 years old. I guess that is what happens when you only drive 1,800-3k miles a year.:roadkill:

I seafoamed mine last night 1/2 in the vacuum line 1/2 in oil 1/2 in gas tank,, running smooth definitely noticed a couple mpg increase since yesterday.Changed the oil with aemsoil today, had a flowmaster 50 series suv muffler and oval tip put on today and routed out behind the passenger rear tire, installed afe stage 2 intake, and last but not least 6k heads and 6k fogs. All in all it was a good day 4runners running strong, sounds awesome and the lights look great ! ill try to take and post up pics tmrw ,, i guess i gotta start a build soon lol

Have a couple pics of my exhaust and intake, really happy with how it turned out and the sound! Definitely feels a bit punchier when u put your foot down!
Had to Fab up a little plate to mover the engine cover bolt over because I also added the afe throttle body spacer it would line up anymore, not the prettiest but does the job.

I had another form member do this mod and took interest, why not I can weld. So, since I'm local enough for him, he gave me his old set to do this in exchange I give him my old set back, great, no down time.

Started the install yesterday and all was going well, except for certain items not posted about using LR UCA'S, first problem, shaft not long enough to reinstall the castle nut and put the pin back in, NOT GOOD.
I had the gusset hitting the springs, but, the air cut off tool took care of that.
So, since the nut kept bugging me on what to do about it, today I decided to get creative. Hard to watch football having this problem in the back of the head.
Went to the hardware store and grabbed a couple of nuts and gave it a try, what do I have to loose, but, to get uniball UCA'S. Not on the pocket book right now.
All this for a set of gussets that will accept using my swaybar.
Now I can finish my day watching the games and relaxing.
Will finish the other side tomorrow as I have the day off.
