What did you do with your 4runner today?

They bolt on to the two top fender bolts and then to the hood hinge bracket. When I get the truck back tonight im going to get more pictures of how they mount. Ill put the pics in my build and ill build a new thread to showcase them for Nathan.

So right now is the only way to order a set by calling them? I checked the website and found nothing.

Got the very first set of CBI ditch light brackets for the 4th gen!

The lights would get stolen within a week around my area. Is there anything you've done to deter thieves?

I'd love to test drive/ride in someone's rig with the 5100/FJ combo before ripping out the x-reas. Anyone in South Denver/COS? One of the best things I liked about the 4Runner was how car-like the ride was - I'm sure the x-reas is partially responsible for that. Plus given that my DD is a BMW, I tend to drive the 4Runner like the Bimmer.

Regardless, my hatch struts didn't like the cold too much. It's been a couple of years coming. So I ordered new ones along with FJ Cruiser front springs. I figured why bother with tracking down used springs - $150/pair shipped isn't going to kill me. The interesting thing is that I ordered them from Camelback Toyota (Scottsdale, AZ). I remember growing up there that you were lucky if the hatch struts lasted 3 years. Hopefully they'll last another 10 here in Colorado.

you will like them, mine have been solid. Just find a good person to weld them on for you.

Theres the catch…since I don't know anyone in my area and have a hard time trusting anyone doing anything to my Runner (from previous bad experience) Im gonna take my mom on a road trip to San Fran when they are done and have Jerry or someone there weld them on :reddance:

Given your previous experience with your T4R, I understand being nervous with other people touching your rig. But seriously, there's no one in Colorado that you can trust to weld on sliders? Desert Fox? Josh? Anyone?

I'm sure there is someone here in town that would do an amazing job. If I have the opportunity to take a road trip and see something new then I'm going. This gave me the perfect chance!!

Either Armorology or Redline Land Cruiser here in Colorado Springs are trustworthy fabrication shops. Both have a good reputation on the forums (T4R and FJ Cruiser) and I am sure they would not do anything to hurt that reputation.

I do like the idea of taking the road trip and having them weld on the sliders though. It would be a great trip and if there is any customizing to be done she will be there for quick changes. Plus it is always good to get to know the fabricators in person when the chance is available.
