What did you do with your 4runner today?

Finished install of Yellow Winjet fog lights, 6" LED work lights, and the biggie, hidden Engo E10000S.

seems like people are getting these more and more often. i think i was the first on here to get winjet yellow fogs.

May I ask, what springs are you running on them? And how much lift are you going for with springs and setting them that high up on the front perch? It's gonna look sick!

How you like your KO's in the snow?

So far I am liking them. HUGE improvement from what was on there, but will need a good thick snow to really be able to test them and compare them to the terra grapplers I usually run.

I'm running 08 fj springs with less than 2k miles on them, I've got them set at 2.5, probably gonna end up over 3" of lift on my 4x4 v6, thanks, i hope so!

Drove over to a local dealer I like and ordered my husband Weathertech Digifit liners for the first and second rows for Christmas!!!

probably would have been better to get them from weathertech.com and have it shipped to your door

-rear heated seats install, now all 5 seats are heated



Also for those interested to know what wires are needed to wire up your otrattw switches. solid green is the 12 volt constant power. white with green strip is the ground wire that the rheostat controls dimmer. this connector is the one that goes to my center diff lock switch in my v8 2003

One thing I like about the Winjets is that they came with a full custom wire harness, which I didn't need for the already plug-n-play Winjets, but used for the LED worklights that came with no wiring at all!!!

Rosen AV7900 headrest dvd update........... uurghhh

Back in July (2013), I got Rosen AV7900 dual DVD players, headrest monitors for my rig. For those who have small kids, you know that they are worth GOLD on long trips............. so then ..........

Couple of months ago, one of the DVDs would not eject. Because the DVD player, Monitor (with soft touch buttons......... don't know how else to describe them) and brainbox are all separate, it is much easier to take apart and service (replace) instead of ripping the whole system out. Anyway, I figured the DVD player itself was bad and sent it back. I got a new one in the mail and installed it. Worked great. Because I don't use them very often, I didn't realize I STILL had a problem. Couple of weeks ago, FM modulator stopped working so I thought the "brainbox" had gone back after I checked my wiring. After 1 hour on the phone with the vendor, he concluded that the monitor was the problem, not the FM modulator. Very long story, anyway, they are sending me a new monitor. A monitor was my original problem. Here's how it works: Monitor sends signals to the DVD player ( my 1st problem: ejection problem) and FM modulator (2nd problem, modulator located in the brainbox). When the monitor goes bonkers (buttons and remote control would NOT respond, yet I could see the DVD movie), well, some functions go to hell. Will post pics.

Very happy................ sort of. AT least I believe I have a correct diagnosis. We'll see. When I receive it, install it and see that it works, I'll be VERY happy. I was starting to think I purchased a crappy system. More importantly: My 2 year will be happy to watch her cartoons again on a long trip.

What else? Oh yeah, I ALMOST washed her (at the self-carwash port), but it was freaking 24 degrees, so I didn't. We (up in the northeast) are supposed to get a winter storm on Saturday, so I'll delay the wash till next week.

F**king hate cold weather.........................

i have on order the brackets too. also got a pair or the "bean leds" they sell also. probably will switch them out to rigid d2's instead. the quality of the rigid's vs the china ones are night and day. Optics are very different. beam pattern, constuction, and quality.

Anyone had this problem yet? looks like the bolt that holds the missing end piece holds the handle into place. it didn't break off, the bolt is completely fine. I know it came off on the road because I had just loaded my gfs daughter into her seat at that door. weird.... i havent had time to contact toyota parts yet

My kids use the hell out of their dvd headrest monitors. I dont have a good track record with rosen products. audiovox has proven to be the best quality for my store.

I chose Rosen b/c it seemed like the highest quality. It's their flagship model. I had audiovox overhead DVD in my 2000 SURF and didn't like it. With the Rosen, the picture is VERY CRISP and the system I got is very dynamic. Yeah, I know not to expect crazy hi-def screens on a 7" screen. Thing is: I like toys.

$125 for install? Wow. I was quoted something like $200+ in a shop out in Conshohoken just to install it. Same shop wanted $1600 or $1800 for a what looked like a generic brand. Had dual DVD, headrests as well. I don't consider myself a typical "mainliner" where money is plentiful, LOL.

I consider my experience a hiccup, so if I continue to have problems, then I'm done with Rosen products.

Reading your "Rear heated seats" mod with great interest. This is something I've been wanting to do, I just haven't looked up which kit to get and such. It's on the "mod wish list", LOL

Buying a block heater. Yes, I know, "but Alex it's only New England, not the Arctic!" I know.

I prefer to plug the truck in than remote start it because it uses a bit of gas.

But the thought of plugging in the block heater have me an idea. If I was to get a deep cycle battery for a secondary battery, could I wire the block heater to a switch to the secondary battery? It's a 400w heater and I believe it pulls 15a.

Could probably wire in a timer to kick it on after an hour (3-way switch. On. Off. On with timer)

Let me know what you guys think! I'm excited to have heat a minute after starting the truck in cold weather.
