I've yet to see a 4runner pic in the redwood forest over your way. not sure how far you are from that but it would be cool to see that picture with the massive trees behind a 4runner

It is beautiful…minus the wind. I would love to get a major snowstorm!!
Do you remember a few years ago there is a hill right off of Powers & S Carefree that drivers couldn't make it over and were smashing into each other? That is a 5 minute walk from my house, it was pretty fun watching them going up the hill thinking they could make it just to slide backwards. They had it on worlds dumbest drivers or one of those shows.
We "Colorado Springs" live in a bowl and the Palmer Divide keeps it away from us.

I avoid Carefree and Austin Bluffs during the bad storms.
We were welcomed to Colorado Springs by the 2006 series of snow. I drove a 2006 Frontier then and it was unstoppable in the snow.
But the DESERT Fox would rather skip the snow.

And the guy was giving me a hard time for having my license plate in the windshield (though plenty of cops I've talked to said it was cool) so I ran outside and "attached" it "securely" to the bumper.. Loosely with one zip tie. Heh

Drove through a little puddle this morning. As I went through it the truck's throttle went dead due to the traction control.
Once it was turned off and center diff locked the truck was stopped.
It was deeper than I thought but pulled out no problem.
No lockers needed. Next time.

Got some new tires!! 265/70r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers!
I bought 5 cans of Plasti-dip and i'm going to dip the stock 06 Sport rims tomorrow, and disable the TPMS light, there were two dead sensors in the tires, and I didn't figure a light to tell me if my tire was blown out was worth $140. We've survived 100 years without TPMS, haha.
I have a question for the peanut gallery though... I see everyone here with the Daystar 2.5/1.5 lifts, are you guys piecing those two lift spacers separately? Or is there a 2.5/1.5 kit somewhere I can just grab and order?
I got a $200 amazon gift card for Christmas this year, and since my 91 MR2 is now sold, I need another project to put my money towards, and my DD wants some style...

Got and alignment and some new shoes. 265/70/17 Cooper ATP's, First impression is they are WAY better then the worn Silent Armors they relpaced. So far they are very good on the road and pretty quiet.
Now I need to make myelf pull the trigger on the Daystar kit.
As for the post above. There is an actual kit for the 2.5/1.5. From what I have read try to find the old style kit for the best all around kit but more work to instal(fits 4runner only and its a preload and top out spacer on the front) and the newer style for the easiest instal(its the same as the fj kit and, all top out spacer on the front i believe).

4 new Nitto Crosstek tires, plus an aligmnent, also my spare was triggering the TPMS, so I made those ****ers drop it and fill it up, since I was dropping a grand on tires and they tried to send me off with my TPMS light on :shocked:

I'm proud my truck started up first crank at -8 around 6am! Coldest startup of the season so far! Sure, the starter bogged down like crazy, but who cares?
