What did you do with your 4runner today?

Changed out my Bank 2 (drivers side) sensor 1 (upstream) senor because I had code P0174, cleared code and did zero point al in less then a hour.

Forged some new trails in the PNW! Very satisfied with my Duratracs. Some drifts were up to the top of my ~33s.

Not today, but yesterday, fueled up and wondered what the hell is wrong with my 4Runner?
2008 V6 w/ a modest lift and Toyo Open Country AT tires getting < 15mpg (calculated by hand) I've been tracking my fuel consumption for over a year and this is consistently the worst mpg I've ever gotten. I've even tried to drive more passively to save a bit, but nothing gives.:bash:
Any ideas?

Lose the rack other than when you need it? I get about the same with a similar setup and roof rack.

What size are the tires? Have you installed a "Speed Healer" or converted the tire size/rotation to compensate for larger tires...if they are larger.

id love to get 15MPG.

Since i installed my speedo-healer i've gotten a real MPG of 12/13city 16 hwy.

Speaking of fuel consumption.... I completely filled my tank for the first time in a LONG time. Got a $.10 off per gallon thing for Irving from their fuel rewards program. Pretty neat! She took 24 gallons.

Drove her 3 hours in the snow this morning. The first hour thru 8" on two lane roads that had not seen any plow or salt. What a blast. The Runner did great!

Nice! The hood and the headlight paint is a sweet little transformation. I'm also anxious to see the final paint job, too... I would love to have the confidence to paint my whole truck (when it's needed).

It's worth a try, but I've had the rack on for nearly a year and a half and just started (over the last couple months) to get really crappy mileage...

256/60/17 Toyo Open Countrys. Again, have had them over a year and just started getting poor mileage. What is this "Speed Healer" you speak of?

It's the radio starting to fail and the cargo boxes causing excessive fluxing in the Super hydroxyl proportional valve.

I can help you get at least 5mpg more by replacing the leaking bluetooth firmware in the radio with a new one, just send the cargo box to me and I will fix the valve for you free of charge, I am cool like that.

OK, problem solved. Next. .. Who next?

Have you had colder temps lately? Winter blend gas? SpeedOmeter calibrates speedometer for different then factory sized tires thus giving you more accurate onboard mpgs/miles to empty/ also makes hand calculations more accurate since, your trip will now be not offset from tire difference? Did you zero point your truck lately?

Dusty Driftwood, sometimes sudden drastic drops signify the ole stuck caliper. Check there too. Hope you get it licked man.
