Took my 4th Gen Runner to Buy a 1st Gen Runner!!!
Just wanted to share my new Rig with you guys. Ive been in the market for something I can abuse a little harder on then trails then my IFS 4th Gen 4R I have been looking for FJ40's and a few have slipped through my finger...I started looking at 85's-87's 4runners and found this yesterday for sale for 5k gave the guy 3800 and went home a happy camper. it was to perfect.

My Dobermans love the flat bed!
This will Blow your mind all the receipts for 1985 the Gentlemen's uncle was the Original owner and he even gave me the original window sticker from the truck from 1985 I was blown away it was sold in Placerville Toyota in 1985 for $10,XXX I couldn't believe it he had almost $4500 in just receipts from Marlin Crawler

picked it up for 3800 cash going to pick up some 39.5 Iroks this weekend for it!
He has over 12k in receipts in the last 5 years included with the sale of the truck and alot of stock parts!

Yep! Install was easier than expected. Figured now that the winch is on, we'll stop getting snow!

first gens with flatbeds are huge here. Mainly to be able to secure whatever you're carrying and more articulation. Its very common here to see every First Gen with a fabbed flat bed.

Sigh. What a shame.
You don't even have a closed off cab! When you start slinging mud you'll need windshield wipers for the inside of your glass.

Today I used my 4runner to help a damsil in distress. There's a really hot girl around the corner from where I live, the snow plow came this morning and built a wall covering up her driveway, so she asked me to come pull her out. Hopefully she'll repay me by texting me lots of pics of her boobs.

Ive seen alot of 1st Gen Flat Beds in my area and they always look so clean if done right and the flat bed is quality. ever since I saw my first one I was obsessed with them!
The entire cab is sealed with 16mil vinyl clear glass material that is mounted all the way around the cab, but when the guy showed me his brothers 1st gen that he converted to a flatbed and tached snaps around the housing and got a custom tan canvas round the flat bed frame and the back of the cab it looked so clean remind me of a mini unimog or something. But I want to go that route and get it looking super nice I might put a new cab or new rear window on I like the open cab but not a fan of it unless it has the canvas back... on another not it has been dumping rain for the last to days not a single drop inside the cab and I went mudding/crawling last night not a single problem or issue with mud in the cab other then all over the flatbed and hood I went through some deep shit in this thing last night I was highly impressed
it does have a clear vinyl plastic 16mil cover that mounted very nicely can take more pics if you like

Not hating on the truck at all. I just don't understand why you would remove the coolest 4Runner feature and cause a lot more hassle in modding when you could buy a sealed single cab and just pull the bed off
