Pulled this off as I was pulling into the driveway.

Finished my back up cam install. Mounting is temp till I make sure I'm happy with it.
Didn't put it on the tag because it's closer to the lift gate handle than I wanted. Also ran wiring for my rear lights, and ordered the rear light switch.

Hmmmm I like this too. Might move mine down there instead of on the license plate.

BTW is that the $15 HDE amazon camera? If so, I had it and it's awful.

bad idea. prone to damage from dirt, salt and the elements. it doesn't give good depth perception either.

camera gives a better view higher up and angled down. the hitch area install is the easier route though.

I've only installed about a few hundred of them in the last 11 years. lol

It's not that one, can't remember which one it is. Threw the box away. Not really worried about depth. I've driven 30+ years without one, Figured it'll be good for looking at the dirt bike to make sure the straps haven't loosened. I figured the stereo is compatible with one so why not hook it up.
Don't think I'll have any problems with it, but we'll see. My 4R has it easy compared to most.....

Passenger side front was the hardest. You do have to remove the washer bottle to get to that mount. So after 3.5 hours I finished and took measurements again.

So did you lose/not gain any height in the front from the body lift? I would have assumed all your numbers would have been a half inch taller.

Wow... Wtf? I've never seen that before! Take a pic of your body mount behind the front wheels, I wanna see how you placed the spacers.

From the 20+ kits I've sold, I've never seen that before...

yeah don't knock the kit. is probably the installer lol.

I undid one side front to back. slid a 2x4 under truck and jacked up the body. pulled the bolt out and put the spacer on top of the oem body mount. basically the spacer is touching the body on one side and the other side is on the old body mount. is there any other way to do it?

I might need to recalibrate my tape measure lol.

this is by no means ragging on the kit. I think the kit is awesome and super easy to do. only pita is getting to the front passenger bolt that under the washer bottle.

my suggestion: if you ever ever need to take off the front bumper for anything. consider Alex body lift, heck you should buy it just to have it so you can have something to do if you ever get free time. since it will be mega easy with the bumper off to get to the washer bottle.

no gain for me, but I did gain experience on how to do it on a 4th generation. so it's a win win for me.

That's too funny - hope I have a better outcome with my kit! My only thought is did you torque the bolts to proper spec? If they were over-torqued or if the OEM body spacers have degraded, it may have been enough to compress some of the stock ones to the point where you had zero gain.

Other than that, I have no clue....

Everything sounds right.... I'd check your tape measure for accuracy :rofl:

I relocated my washer bottle after I did my bodylift. It was ugly and sticking down in the way with my fancy new bumper.

No, they're oem toyota headlights, painted satin black by another member on here.
