Thats the problem for me too and every time I see it I pissed all over again.

Haha I can't help it piccrazy30 it's just too mesmerizing

Now I just need to get a day to put these in. Been raining all week and I'll be out camping at the springs this weekend. :ohwell:

20140714_145502.jpgA Malibu decided to pull out in front of me from the shoulder. Not really 4runner related, but I'll sure be driving the 4runner more often now...

Aimed my headlights from 25' away. I got the center of the beam to 36"

Now... Those of you who have messed with projectors... the two step-ups from the projectors; should those be over each other, not spaced out like they are here?

looks good, what ever hieght is the center point of the lens on the projector, should be 3 inches lower at 25ft at the wall, lets say your truck light is at 39inches at center of the projector, at the wall should be 36inches of the bottom step cutoff.

It's taken me 2 days to get to this point, been struggling with my wiring harness, but I'm pretty pleased with the look. Still haven't finished the 1st headlight.

im guessing that you have mounted the ledpods right on the back of the housing itself. did you do anything so you can still adjust the height or vertical of the leds?

Yup, the brackets I used allow me to add spacers to the top or bottom to adjust. I can tweak angles by just loosening a few easily accessible bolts.

I'll take more pictures when I do the second light.

Sorry to hear that, Scott. It must have been really bad to flip your bike completely upside down!

Daren

Haha I just noticed that, I'm still waiting to make sure I don't have a spinal injury! The other side is much worse from where it slid

Rigid Dually spots with CBI ditch light brackets..

What did you use for the mount for the Rigid's in the front/lower grill? I'm wanting to get a set of these and just want to make sure I have everything lined up. I am very curious as to the difference between the spots and floods.

Some quick shots. I have tons of aiming to do, but I'm not going to bother until I do the 2nd headlight and put my bumper on. Time for mid project beer celebration, lol. The LED's make my 4300k's look yellow, but I'm not sacrificing lumens for color or shelling out $185 for Osram CBI's. I wired the LED's so they can be on by themselves or with any other lights.

3:30-9:45. Got the fronts done. It was a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!

But I went from 38 1/8" to 40" from ground to fender on my 265/65/17's! It looks awesome!

Daytime pics to come tomorrow. And I'll install the rears eventually. I have a crazy bro lean right now.

Ouch! The bike doesn't look like it was hurt too bad, but I'm sure the frame got torqued up depending on the impact. My CBR had an impact on the right side and the frame, motor mounts, rear arm, etc were all effected. Not fun.

BUT, that being said, I'm very glad to hear that you didn't suffer any serious injuries.

Oblivious drivers are one of the reasons I sold my CBR (the frame issue was also a huge factor in my selling it). I've had a few close calls and it is seriously sobering.. Almost takes the fun out of riding.

Thanks for the info man! I'll have to readjust them now that I lifted the front end up 2". I blinded a few people on the way to the store this evening :/ I hate blinding people, but I'm not adjusting them until I get my rear springs in. Who knows, maybe the lift in the rear will bring them back to a legal height? Lol

I agree. Luckily the bike took the damage and I walked away with a bruised shoulder

You were really lucky. Just the other week a friend of mine in Atlanta got real ended on his bike. Two broken arms and broken rib. Died a week later in the hospital from a heart attack brought on by his injuries. I'd never ride a motorcycle in GA. The drivers here are so bad they never even noticed me when I had my Miata.

What problems did you have? Thinking about installing Bilstiens and OME Coils on mine, and would like to avoid a 6hr battle if at all possible. :)

Haha well... I used New England corroded bilstein 5100's... So when I bolted on the top hat. (This thingy)
ymevenen.jpg

And I installed it into the strut tower, I used a large screw driver to align the lower bolt hole of the shock with the mounting point on the LCA. Because the spring perch wouldn't twist (due to the corrosion) I couldn't twist the bottom hole. When I succeeded in twisting the bolt hole, it actually made the spring twist away from the stop on the perch.

Long story short... I wound up having to recompress the springs, take off the top hat, and align it with the bottom of the shock so that I wouldn't have to twist the shock and mess upvhow the spring sat on the perch again.

Also BE CAREFUL with your ABS wire. I've installed many many lifts... I killed my first ABS wire today by trying to use the LCA and strut tower as a spring compressor when I tried to reseat the spring on the perch... When I popped off the top nut, it just pushed the LCA down too far. Oh well I hope it isn't too expensive to fix. If not, I never really cared for ABS anyway. I usually disable my ABS and traction... I am aware of how to operate my vehicle properly without electronic aids.

My cost on my wire was $45 at the dealer/ I stretched mine on my first lift too.
