Which kit works for the stock lights? 9005 male-9006/9005 female?
I used 1 gallon of black to base it and 4 gallons for the hyper black pearl. The reason I went heavy on the coats was I've done it a few times and the thinner coats tend to be a PAIN to peel off. With the amount of coats i've done I can almost pull off the entire thing in one piece.
As for the prep it wasn't hard at all. Make sure to put plastic on the radiator to prevent build up when spraying it in there and for the window seals on the bottom of the driver run a VERY thin line on the trim. Use a very sharp hobby razor to run a line before peeling the window as they tend to get thick and pull up the entire dip. PM me anytime and i'll give you some more pictures of the prep itself.

Awesome man thanks appreciate the tips and feedback. I have a buddy who's done it a few time's and gave me some pointers also but good to know about the radiator i pry wouldn't have thought of that! I only got 4 gallons of aluminum because i'm going over the same color plus i'm not doing my roof because i have a roof rack and lights wired up so it going to be too much of a headache to remove it plus you can't see it anyways soo hopefully 4 should be enough. But i see a lot of people base coating with a darker color does that need to be done? My 4runner is silver so the aluminum is pretty much going to be a flat silver..

Nope, no LED bars yet, thinking about mounting one in my new bumper, but this should tide me over for now

Welded a few bits of plate to my dual battery box so I have a place to mount the solenoid for the dual batteries and a front lip to bolt the box to the wheel well.

This was back on Friday but I towed with my truck for the first time (heck, it might have been the first time I towed period.)
My buddy needed to get his rowboat from one place to the other so he rented a UHaul trailer and we went and got it. I visually inspected the hitch and everything seemed solid and as it should be. I needed an adapter for the hitch wiring but other than that it was smooth sailing.
V6 had plenty of pep, great visibility out the back and with the big side mirrors. Very stable.
I did learn that I can't back up a trailer to save my life.
