What did you do with your 4runner today?

Installed the cornfed 2.5" rear spacer to replace the day star, thanks to [MENTION=50591]gaterose[/MENTION] not sure if towing heaving things with a rear day star spacer is the best idea...driver side spacer was torn apart not sure when it happened though.

I've kicked off a friend's new addiction for 4Runner modifications. He recently got a (very clean) '98 4x4 Limited, and liked my dipped rims, so I hooked him up with some gunmetal gray rims of his own.

255 GY Dura Tracs are next

Installed GY Duratrac today.drove 100+ miles today to break them in. As quiet as the Bfg long trails!!! Absolutely blown away by lack of hum or roar. Amazing. Also, I went with 255 instead of 265. Had noticed "walk" with spacers and the 265s. However that was gone with the narrower 255s.
Very happy so far.

I had my bubbling fixed right after I got mine and it came back in a matter of months. I'll just let it rust through then buy a new hatch in a few years. But the bubbling hasn't gotten any worse in the last 6-8 months so maybe this is as bad as it'll get

The guy at the body shop was 100% certain it didn't go all the way through the metal, so he's pretty sure he can sand it down and no body filler will be required... Hopefully that lasts. The roof has me a bit more concerned

Todays fun:
I was preparing to tackle the camshaft position sensor issue my truck was having today..As I Began taking stuff apart, I notice a wire hidden behind the adapter to the throttle body and covered partially by an oil cooler line..
This wire was the plug to THE CPS. It was being cut in half slowly by the serpentine belt and shorting out the sensor. well the only reason the wire was exposed is because the shop who did by timing belt did put the sensor wire incorrectly into the wire loom behind the oil cooler lines.
I went to the shop, showed the manager and he admitted total fault and he is taking care of the part and labor charge. It was an obvious mistake however its a mistake that if I didn't see would have cost me $300 just for the part.

bfgoodrich said they were sending me a sticker, just didnt think it was going to be a 24" sticker. going to have to wait till i get my lift done before i even think about where to pit this sticker. might look out of place on a non lifted truck

Noticed all my ball joints are oozing a little bit. Is this something to be concerned about? Still drives and handles fine.

So I took that ugly plastic piece with the reflector out. And painted the turn signal reflector white to match the truck. Both sets of ballasts are 35w the projectors are mini d2s bi-zenon 6k. The high beams are 5k

At least he owned up and took care of it

Not an immediate problem
But it can become one down the road
You can get aftermarket greaseable ones these days for cheap

Nothing really, did my spark plugs a couple months ago and came across this on here, figured for 10 bucks why not.

Not really, maybe idles a little better, not that it idled rough before or anything, just lower rpms maybe?
