What did you do with your 4runner today?

I made my first Plasticdip effort. The center of the rear bumper was grey and was recently customized from a gas can rubbing against. The back takes a beating and I'm anxious to see how it holds up.

I phone photo makes it look a little wonkie.

Replaced pass cv axle, changed diff fluids, cleaned mass air flow and throttle body, and topped it off with a good old fashioned driveshaft lube job.

Have done quite a bit to the 4th Gen lately. Here's a before and after of when we first got it to today. Cleared/Painted headlights, plastidip'd front end, badges, powdercoated wheels, new tires, Yakima Roof Rack made quite a difference for appearance.

Finally finished the winch install and added some under hood lights while I was in there.

Have you thought about Picking up one of the Daystar isolators? Oh and try to keep the line hidden. UV kills synthetic lines. The isolated installs behind the hook and there is no vibration and helps keep everything clean.

Saturdays plans were to install steering rack bushings and do an alignment.

I think I got a little side tracked.



Oh well, it was 102 out and I did not feel like mixing that with power steering fluid.

In all actuality I pulled the headliner to take off the roof rack thinking it was bolted from the inside like a Subaru. It was not. But since the headliner was down I put up some sound deadening stuff.

Looks great man! Just wait til the first time it rains....Sooo much quieter with a sound deadened roof. Helps with the roof rack noise as well.
