What did you do to attach the hood release latch to the grill? Since the grill is taller, it won't attach properly with the current rod. Suggestions?

grill looks nice. what happened to your upper bumper cover trim piece below the grill? Does it fit with the Satoshi?

I have to trim the corners that cover the light bolts for it to fit with the '06 grill. I didn't have the time, but wanted to install and show off the grill. It's better to have the cover trim collecting dust than the satoshi grill!

I don't remember to be 100% honest. Sorry, I thought I just used the '03 release and bent a piece but there's a small chance I may have received an '06 and bent the piece. Although it seems like I'd have the '03 release laying around if that were the case.

I'm fairly sure I was able to just flip the release over and bend one of the rods. I think the handle was what I bent. I'm sorry, for some reason I can't remember. The last guy who bought one didn't have any trouble (or maybe he didn't use it?)

Email me a picture of what exactly the problem is and I'll try to brainstorm it. If nothing else, I'll send you my release.

Watched it pull out of the driveway for the last time.............

Sold it for $12,000.00 cash. Sad to see it go and it was a fantastic rig and the fellowship here has kicked butt since I joined in 03. It's always a tuff balance between resale and holding on and I think the offer was legit for an 11 year old suv with 92k on the clock. Far more than the dealer would offer on trade.

It's always been ok as long as you don't mind listening to haters' opinions every now and then. Besides the way I see it a 2wd needs a winch much worse than 4wd right?

It's made locally by Shirley Fabrication, this particular bumper used to be A_Hul's but he had a new one built after an accident. I plan to chop bull bar since it's bent/dented and maybe make a few more modifications.

Totally agree on the definite need of a winch on a 2WD, essential for any kind of off-roading.

So got a few things done today.

T4R decals came in yesterday so slapped those on and they look great! thanks [MENTION=165]momo.75[/MENTION]

I ended up ordering the Smittybilt universal seat covers in OD green and I really like the functionality of it. Flashlight, knife, compass, even mounted my walkies.

Also slapped on an Oasis sticker that I just got in. Currently my favorite band. (Todays music sucks!)

After that, ran the runner straight to what-a-burger.

So ya, pretty good day.

Installed a Borla Pro XS muffler (P/N: 40665), Resonator Deleted w/ side exit welded on.

Initial impressions after 10 miles:
At idle, it's hard to tell the vehicle is even running it's so quiet.

under acceleration above 1500 rpm the drone is substantial but not overwhelming. I can still hear the oem stereo on volume18 just fine which is nice as I have no plans to upgrade that.

downhill and pretty much anytime after letting off the gas it rolls remarkably easier, essentially no engine braking feel anymore.

no more gasses into the cabin with the rear window down is the best thing.

I'll do a follow up in my build thread in the spring after the muffler is broken-in.

I test drove a new MDX this week. It had a high load height and I don't think it would have been able to accommodate my serious cargo requirements.

Also, it took me 90 min to get the rear rims off of my other car. 90 MIN! The rims froze to the hub. The 4Runner is so much easier to work on.

No doubt, I'm keeping the 4Runner.
