time is tight

Took advantage of the incredible weather today (75 degrees on Oct 28). While my 3 year old watches Hello Kitty on my phone (had to grab it to take this pic, then promptly returned it, LOL), I fish the passenger side LED signal wires from inside the door into the cabin. Pic is self explanatory.

Installed my Mile Marker winch today. Had to clock the motor 90 degrees to clear the grille, but other than that it was a simple and easy install.

Wrap them wires in split loom

Had a forced meeting with a Mack truck today

No injuries, but...
Bent a steering rod, destroyed the front bumper/drivers side headlight/fog/markers and associated wiring, and took out the front quarter panel. Meanwhile he got off with a bit of dust removed from his bumper and an unscrewed flare cover. Off to the body shop for me. Thank God for full coverage insurance.

So do you think the damage would have been more or less without the bull bar? It looked like it kind of dispersed the damage to more parts, but also saved your engine.

The bull bar had nothing to do with the damage. When the truck hit, it was moved foward (this one can slide forward) out of the way. The vertical under supports for the bull bar (underside/front of the car) have some strength to them though - useful offroading when I don't have the approach clearance lol.

Not designed for automotive accidents though.

Got tired of my cb falling off from where it was mounted with double sided tape so I sucked it up and drilled into the console and mounted it solidly. I don't think it's going anywhere now.

I have my CB attached in a very similar location using Command Strips. Haven't had a problem so far. What kind of tape adhesive were you using?

Dropped my truck off at the dealer for an alignment. When I declined the recall the guys looked at me like I was nuts.

He was in the process of approving the work to be done...

Then I mentioned possibly having the wheels off pavement and they both smiled and chuckled. Then he said "Good point."

Amazing how quickly he was ready to approve the work. People must flock in to have these damn things done.

Same experience here, they just don't get it....I had to forcefully say "it's my vehicle, don't touch anything that I have not asked for".

Warranty work = easy money for dealership. Techs flag full amount of hours, and take less time to do it.

Put my tale gate up for sale. $100 - less than materials local pick up in central Florida. Too heavy to ship. Stout power coated piece. Too high for the new rig. Wood tops are optional. I think I have 2 that will fit - one full width and one small.
