What did you do with your 4runner today?

Dropped my truck off at the dealer for an alignment. When I declined the recall the guys looked at me like I was nuts.

He was in the process of approving the work to be done...

Then I mentioned possibly having the wheels off pavement and they both smiled and chuckled. Then he said "Good point."

Amazing how quickly he was ready to approve the work. People must flock in to have these damn things done.

my dealer keeps sending me the recall letter, i don't think they've caught on

Put my tale gate up for sale. $100 - less than materials local pick up in central Florida. Too heavy to ship. Stout power coated piece. Too high for the new rig. Wood tops are optional. I think I have 2 that will fit - one full width and one small.

I have my CB attached in a very similar location using Command Strips. Haven't had a problem so far. What kind of tape adhesive were you using?

Whatever the strongest double sided tape 3m makes is. It was rated to like 25 pounds. It worked good for about six months then just kinda lost its stickiness.

Same experience here, they just don't get it....I had to forcefully say "it's my vehicle, don't touch anything that I have not asked for".

I've fought with my local dealerships about the Smart Stop Technology crap so many times it's ridiculous. How many times do I have to say no!?

Got my switch blanks mounted up where the sunglasses holder used to be. I need to finish it up, but I'm glad with the progress thus far. Not bad for a $13 mod I've had sitting in the to-do pile for months.

And yes, I'm aware my mirror isn't attached. Had to pop it off to pull down the overhead console

Washed and waxed the Runner. I used Trim Shine from Shine Supply on the plastic and it took away all the oxidization and made it look new again.

Up next is installing some FJ springs up front and 5100's all around. Tires shipped yesterday, wheels are waiting in garage.

Sorry for the iphone quality picture.
Added Bilstein 5100 x4. Front set at 3rd notch. Front coils are FJ moog and rear OME 895 rear. Love the ride. so far. Just had it aligned and its near spec.

Also plasti dipped the wheels, handles, emblems, and the front grill. Bumper is just a replacement I had purchased after I got in a wreck and didn't want to pay 300 for it to be painted.
