What did you do with your 4runner today?

I got out of my driveway without snow blowing. I only did around the truck so I could clean it off. Uphill, deep, and icy. 4lo, center diff locked, and lots of skinny pedal

I heard we were supposed to get some snow this week, still waiting for it...

I was actually expecting to see way more gratuitous snow-fun pictures from yesterday. I'm not posting any because I definitely did not go out driving during Rhode Island's travel ban. Definitely did not go.

after too much work for not the results i wanted, I'm pretty darn happy considering it bolted up this way.

and as promised, i did a full write up on the reflector lens install (even though i didn't end up doing it) and included the way i have them mounted currently, with a little stealing of pictures from gaterose to fill in the blanks i didn't get to

So why wouldn't the lights in the reflectors work? From the pics it looks fine, but obviously not seeing something.

once i tried to put the lenses in the openings of my bumper i knew something was off. there was a huge gap around the edges of the lens that i did not expect, as well as the bumper needing extensive work to even accept the light. it would have been way more time and effort than I'm able to give right now, but I'm happy with how i ended up mounting them

Ok, I thought by the looks of that one picture that they were pretty much mounted up. Was wondering if some part was hitting the frame or something. I think this summer I may do this to mine. I can't see crap on the trails at night!!
I can't mount mine down where you did though, they would be ripped off within a week. I drag my hitch across the ground regularly. lol

Realtruck.com. They are $230.00 shipped, fronts only. Clazzio sells single color fronts only for $300 so I thought it was a great find! Hard to find single color single rows online. Been lookin on ebay/Amazon for a bit, too. Single color full set is about 420... Also a great deal. Cheapest I've found at least!

i was concerned about it too, but they're further in than the edge of the bumper, and sit higher up than both my spare and receiver, so they wouldnt be the first thing to hit

Finally changed out my crap woofer.. Went with a Kicker Comp D..

Changed my alternator.

Went to lunch today and batter light came on. Took it over to Autozone and they said it was the alternator. Had to wait till I got off work to do it.

Changing an alternator in an apartment parking lot under a street light isn't an ideal situation, but I got it done.

$150 poorer, but at least my truck runs.

Last night I replaced the burned out light bulbs in my heater controls and changed the running board lights to LED's. Looks much better.

Agreed, I am running them as well in the stock horn locations. They sound a bit too soft, but I rarely use it. I can't wait to see what they look like behind a satoshi grille

I have a set of the red ones on my acura, the high pitched euro tone is kind of annoying, course, since I spent all the time to paint them black and wire them, I don't really care to replace them, maybe one day.
