i simply dont understand how someone could do so many swaps and everyone be cool with that LED not getting swapped as well?! It drives me nuts on my own truck, but i know i have no one to blame but myself!! one of these weekends i'll tear into it and figure out how to swap it. i'll pm y'all when i do in case y'all want yours swapped...i'll make y'all a killer deal!!

He also made me drive around with no HVAC controls in the middle of winter for over a month, when I specifically scheduled time (a week and a half) with him that the truck wouldn't be driven. Your service is leaps and bounds ahead, you shipped my steering wheel controls back the very next day :cheers:

What material did you use to make the new fairing? I would like to make an extended fairing for my Load Warrior.

I used Plexy glass, But get the stronger stuff it's more expensive but worth it. I think i paid $67 for a 36x48 sheet vs the regular plexy that was around $30 and i broke it in 2 seconds at my first couple of attempts doing this. Then i used a dremel to shape it and vinyl wrapped it..

After punching a hole in the secondary oil pan last summer, I finally ordered, painted, and installed a new RCI skid plate. It is my wifes car she requested it be matched to our bike rack, so it's orange.

Can you put that rubber grommet on first, then put the ballast through it? This would provide the seal you need, and still get it hooked up.

Well, I might be able to get the connector on there with the outer headlight grommet in place, but there's no way to get the one on the connector harness to seal inside the outer grommet, thanks to the 90 degree bend on the connector.

I figured I wasn't the first to encounter this issue, and sure enough, I may have found a solution. [MENTION=50591]gaterose[/MENTION] had the same problem in his initial post here:

I will probably follow his solution and swap out the D2S ballasts for AMP ballasts, and use straight AMP to D2S adaptors. I'll still have to seal the back somehow, but at least there won't be a right-angle bend to get in the way.

If you can find a grommet like the grommet that comes installed on the D2S plug it will fit snuggly into the OEM grommet on the headlight as well as over the D2S straight connector wiring. I cut mine off and used it but they charged me a fee, it'd be better to just see if they can ship you one of those grommets.

Finally installed the smokers kit. I still plan on transforming my center console from a 05 to an 08+, until then, this will do.

All-pro Uniball UCA (500$)
Uniden 510xl CB with mic and speaker (25$, yet to see if it works, but according to the guy its should)
3 foot CB antenna with magnetic base (20$)
Spider trax 1.25" spacers not shown (180$)

my setup is about the same. uniden pc33x and a k30. as a plus my cb was free and it came out of our old 1st gen

Awesome! Free is even better lol Do you find the position of your cb impeding the movement forward/backward on your seat at all? Not sure where I want to place mine yet, was thinking under the arm rest.
