3rd gen headlight retrofit

Finally finished today!

Today I manually flushed my transmission and radiator, changed out the fluid in the differentials and transfer case, upgraded the headlight bulbs to HIRs, installed a pioneer touchscreen with Android Auto, and still got in a full day of work.

Just wishing I was a bit more youthful. Strained my rotator cuff dealing with the rear diff, and my neck and back are killing me now. Still worth doing diy maintenance. If you care about your car, do not trust someone else to do it.

So, I have still had my 2.5" spacer lift in the rear w/coilover HD shocks in the rear for a while. I decided to go with the 3" Overland dual rate HD coils now.
What a difference, not so much bounce and don't feel to much pot holes anymore.



Since my shocks where designed for a 3" lift, I'm reusing them without the coil springs on them. Was tired of the lack of support when loaded down.


This morning, had to use the spring compressors to re install the driver side with 1 of my spacers I cut down to 1.5". No more driver lean.
Yes she's got rake. I estimate aprox. 180 +/- lbs extra weight on it constantly.

Taking her to the dealership after work. 4Low doesn't engage and the center diff locker doesn't engage. Someone screwed up when they "went over it" before putting it on the lot. Good thing for 3 month 3500 mile full powertrain warranty.

I was in the same boat when we bought our 06 used in Oct of 2013. I took the service techs word that the 4 wheel drive system was all working. Sure enough got it home and it did not engage. They fixed it all under warranty.

Good luck. Get it back to the dealer asap!

I am sure they knew. They hope a buyer does not try out 4wd until the warranty has expired.

Figured out that the front end clunk I've been having is the sway bar bushings... While I was in there, discovered that my radiator is leaking on the lower passenger side. Booo... Not bad enough to warrant replacement yet. At least I know why my coolant has ever so slowly been getting lower.

Dragged out the hose and gave it it's first hand wash of the year. Finally warm and dry,

And just got my new 34s 305/70r17 Kevlars so just test fit them on flex and trim what it gotta be trim

And just make a seal change under that great sun..tired of being in the garage
