Installed a more factory switch for my aux lights. I would like it to not illuminate when the car is off. What's the trick?
is it run straight from the battery? tap into a 12v accessory that is switched ignition

Yes, the lights are powered straight to the battery. Is there any easy or recommended wire to tap instead of to the battery post?
I could just leave it also I suppose. I imagine it would take a LONG time (months) to drain the battery if i leave it hooked up.
