Not to be a downer, but what was wrong with the 07? Or just wanted a V8? I could understand that

Nothing, I just wanted a clean limited model in white. That is what I had been looking for before I bought my SE, but none ever popped up. V8 was just a bonus.

Changed out the gauge cluster glass (plastic)... Took only about 45mins and now I don't have a haze that was forming on the inside... Looks perty

I'm running the Toytec springs. I was happy with the previous height but my Shrockworks bumper should be coming soon and I wanted to go up a notch in preparation for that.

I thought it would be that simple also but it was not. I removed the assembly from the vehicle and used 2 spring compressors. I thought I would be able to compress, adjust the snap ring for the perch, release compression and be finished. No sir. You will have to compress, remove the hat on top of the spring, then remove the spring and adjust the snap ring. Reassemble and reinstall. It's not difficult but it's tedious. I don't plan on adjusting mine ever again unless my bumper really drags the front end down.

I use 4 coil compressors personally. Makes the job a LOT easier

Got the Budbuilt hidden winch plate and Smittybilt winch installed

Changed spark plugs, cleaned MAF and throttle body and changed left downstream O2 sensor w/fouler trick. Can't really tell any difference in power and too soon to know if there's a MPG increase but the check engine light is finally off.

Also removed the annoying factory running boards.

To give the storage system a more finished look I made some side wings that also doubled as small storage cubbies. Once that was complete I made a couple more storage bins on top of the wheel arches. The new storage bins don't intrude into the main cargo area so my dogs still have plenty of room to roam around. The new storage bins allow me to store all my recovery gear on side, and on the other side I have the first aid kit, and some various camping and dog accessories.

Went to the dealership today to get my brakes checked out since my pedal was going mush on me. Figured it would be frozen calipers again, found out both my front wheel bearings were completely shot and the dealership said the calipers and everything are fine. The bearings are causing my brakes to feel mushy. Now gotta cough up some moola to get those replaced, sigh.

I pulled off my factory "skid plate" and rethreaded the bolt to m8x1.25. Was pulling it off before I take her to my bi-annual alignment at Firestone. Seems like shops always get carried away tightening the pan bolts. (Plus I don't want them losing my diff-drop spacers). Also found some signs of leakage from my front differential. Is it common for the seals to leak? I'm running synthetic 75w-90. Would going to 80w-90 help?

Picking up another new 255 75 17 BFG on Wednesday from Craigslist. Should have a full set by the time my current tires wear out.
