What did you do with your 4runner today?

Final shop quote finally came in, $4,500 for the body damage, insurance has released the money and now the repairs can begin. SO ready to be back in my truck...

Sorry you're going through this. Glad you're okay! I too was in an accident, right about this time. Mine is hopefully going to be done early next week.
 
Installed a new gas cap, which fixed the "Check engine" and "VSC/TRAC" idiot light CEL. Thank to the forum for saving me lots of money and time!
 
Put on my Whitsonmetalworks rack. I went a little different and had it powder coated a dark bronze to go with the wheels. Love it, quality is outstanding. Demello bumper is being delivered Friday and maybe some changes to the plastidip color. Thanks again @Whitsonmetalworks

Thanks T-man. My vibration starts at roughly 45 mph and gets worse until about 55-60 mph. Then it slowly smoothes out. Both of my CVs are blown, and I have no idea how long they have been that way. Although I can tell you that there is no wet gease anywhere around either axle.

Mine doesnt really make any noise, but the vibration did get worse after testing my A-tracs she other day. You know, locking in the 4x4 and driving circles to give myself a better understanding of how the system works. I was turning tight circles in 4lo for what I believe to be the first time in the trucks life (previous owner used it as a bad ass baby carrier). I'm just going to replace them, and see if it solves the issue.

That's exactly what mine is doing. It starts around 47ish and goes until about 53ish, then smooths out. I've been blaming it on the "rumble strip" issue that I've read about, but I've thought about it being the CV axles as well. I'll have to replace them and see if that fixes my issue.

:doh: Rush hour traffic and didn't notice the electric truck with the steel bumper was stopped. I smacked into the back of him and messed things up a bit. Including my Satoshi. It's all being worked on now and my Satoshi is being rebuilt. :ohwell:
