Take a look at your gas pedal...I think they might have trimmed it down? I'd definitely take it back regarding the remote problem

I wouldn't say they contribute to ride quality one way or another so to speak, however they increase track width which inherently increases stability a bit. The main advantages are a.) more lift without stretching the UCAs down a ton and b.) more clearance from LCAs to ground; the same reason portal axles are used on some 4x4s.

That's probably not a good start for the mechanic, should have instructions in the box, here is a pic. Google can be your best friend, or your "mechanic's"

Just replaced a few small parts that broke on me last week...
The plastic hinge on my sunglasses holder shattered, so I popped in a new overhead maplight console. Took 5 minutes.
The bottom weatherstripping on the rear window degraded to the point where the felt wiper strip got yanked off by the glass after I rolled it up one night. Ripped off the old one and snapped on a new one no problem. Took another 2 minutes.
I love when things go smoothly, even the little fixes.

Just bought an '04 Limited in white. Noticed the paint was hazy, so broke out the buffer. The polish and pad I was using didn't touch the haze. Last night was the Green Heavy Polish pad (Hex-Logic). Tonight will be the Yellow Heavy Cut pad.

Come to find out also that Toyota uses a single stage painting system.... meaning NO clear coat on several of their colors. :shocked:

they correct rather easy. I prefer single stage paint and wish i had gotten white.

Put a 3" Toytec leveling kit on. Really like how it turned out
Very nice, I picked up the same setup a couple months ago. A solid setup and compared to the blown XREAS a night and day difference.

Finally got my truck back from the body shop, a month later to the day...
For those who don't know, I was hit by an out of control shuttle bus, I swerved out of the way, but not far enough to avoid the hit completely. Here's the before
And here's a few afters
They did a nice job overall with the body work, however I have several complaints, and will never do business with that body shop again. First of all, they left my truck sit out in the rain for almost 2 weeks and never covered the tail light area where the wires come out from the interior, even after me calling and asking them to address this. I am not sure yet if my amp and sub were damaged by the water, but this is how they returned them to me... A grand worth of equipment thrown in the back like garbage.
Even funnier is that they replaced my sub enclosure with a brand new sub, amp and enclosure, even though my SR5 isn't wired to work with the JBL amp or sub, so it's not plugged into anything.
But either way, I got a new sub enclosure out of the deal, because 1 of the brackets was broken during the colision, totaling 2 that are now damaged. Either way, if anyone wants a brand new JBL sub or amp PM me as I have no used for them.
The other annoyance is that my rear window no longer works with the key or the remote. I am hoping that I just need to reset the rear ecu, however the shop manager mentioned something about missing a component, which it had from the factory so I'm not sure if they lost something or just don't know what they're talking about.

just order a mechman 240a alternator, turned on my truck last night and it was whining and had a smell, so i i quickly drove home and voltage was stable at the 13.6 area, when it first turned on it was jumping at 13.3 to 13.4 at idle, which means its on it last leg, hopefully i wont have any problems till my new one arrives, sucks this has to happen, but i do need a higher output for my electrical needs.
